Sleeping child shot in the head Detroit drive-by

A 7-year-old boy was rushed to a hospital after a drive-by shooting in Detroit overnight. WWJ's Charlie Langton was on the scene.

00:00I'm here on the east side of Detroit, 8 mile near Gratiot.

00:05There was a shooting about 4 or 5 in the morning here.

00:08You can see Detroit police, quite a bit of people were told by one of the family members,

00:15an 8 year old boy sleeping and the shots were outside on this road, Fairmont.

00:27And then the innocent child was hit in the head, don't know the condition but it's not

00:34life threatening it looks like, although the child was taken to Children's Hospital.

00:39So there are a lot of Detroit police here doing an investigation trying to figure out

00:44exactly how an innocent kid was hit.
