00:11In a post Monday August 19, Yung Ruvivar said she was never informed that she had been invited.
00:17Another member of Team Philippines had told her about plans for a hero's welcome at Malacanang.
00:21A week before the event, Yung Ruvivar inquired with Gymnastics Association of the Philippines
00:25president Cynthia Carreon.
00:27Carreon replied it was only for medalists.
00:30Yung Ruvivar shared a screencap of her exchange with Carreon.
00:33Besides Yung Ruvivar, gymnasts Alea Finnegan and Emma Malabuyo, and golfers Bianca Pagdanganan
00:39and Dori Ardina also missed the event.
00:41Carreon later apologized to the three gymnasts.
00:44She said she received late notice that the invitation included the whole team.
00:48Yung Ruvivar thanked Filipinos for their support and said she's excited to continue competing
00:52for the Philippines.
