Guy walks over 200 miles every month to help unhoused people care for their dogs — and he just adopted a pittie off the street who rides around on his bike now!

00:00This guy does everything by sport to take care of about 60 to 80 dogs on a weekly basis.
00:17I just heard of feeding one dog and the word kind of spread throughout the community.
00:27There's no real reason that I do this work outside of just to love all these animals.
00:35The one thing is their dogs.
00:38That's what keeps them going.
00:39And often times that's just what gives them a reason to live and carry on, period, is
00:44that dog.
00:48They can slow me for blocks.
00:51I've become like the Santa Claus and the ice cream man.
00:56I just kept asking questions and learning about his story.
00:59So I became interested in creating a documentary about Paul.
01:02So who's this?
01:04This is Mimi.
01:06She's my latest puppy.
01:09I only work at my actual job and get paid for about 11 hours a week and all the rest
01:14goes to keeping projects of those ongoing.
01:17It runs us $400 to $500 every week.
01:21I raise the funds by snapping photos and taking little videos and sharing them to my social
01:26media.
01:28And all the money that he raises, it goes directly to the dogs.
01:32I take these dogs to the vet whenever possible.
01:34It might be a little big, but it's nice.
01:38I provide food as well as the harnesses and leashes.
01:41Thank you, good puppy.
01:43You gotta hold still, though.
01:44You gotta hold still, Kelly.
01:46It's okay, buddy.
01:47I administer whatever vaccines you put legally without those licenses and stuff.
02:01Dottie kind of got the short end of the stick as far as her life before Paul.
02:04Off to her appointment at Betts and Vans, finally.
02:13She came to live with me and just became part of the family.
02:18She just loves everybody and she loves to just come up and nuzzle between your legs.
02:25I have four dogs that all came off of the streets.
02:33I take in as many as I can.
02:37You got the biggest box on earth, I guess.
02:39Do you have a box cutter on you?
02:41Very nice.
02:42The car, it's about 200 pounds.
02:45I found out that his hip was bothering him, so we helped coordinate the electric bike with a big bucket in the front.
02:57It's been such a blessing.
02:58It helps me zip her out of town and feed these dogs in a timely fashion.
03:05The best thing is that Dottie really likes to go out and ride around with it.
03:09When she first came to me, I pushed her around in an oversized dog schooler.
03:13I just carried her over into loving to ride around on the bike.
03:23I suffered a lot of severe child abuse, which basically just made me shut down and not really associate with people very much.
03:31But it did draw me to animals.
03:34Dogs are a lot better than people in a lot of ways.
03:37It's kind of the pureness of love without motives or agendas.
03:41It's just incredible to see one person have such an impact.
