00:00We'll be right back with more on the story.
00:05Craig yesterday, the O's bouncing back and evening up a series in New York against the Mets, but do so with some bad news for another starting pitcher.
00:15This one newly acquired that Zach Eflin from the Tampa Bay Rays ahead of the trade deadline.
00:21To a long list of arms and frankly players on the IL for Baltimore.
00:27Craig, are you concerned at all about the Orioles starting staff entering playoff baseball where Baltimore right now currently the second best price to win the American League pennant?
00:37Yeah, look, I think you could make the case as we've talked about before that maybe the Orioles in the fans minds didn't do enough at the trade deadline.
00:46They just added Eflin and Trevor Rogers.
00:49Rogers has been completely ineffective and now Eflin hurt.
00:52So I guess they have to hope that he could come back at some point.
00:55I don't know how serious this injury is.
00:57So, yeah, I mean, obviously it's concerning, Ben, but this is the model for the Orioles right now.
01:02You know, it's going to be rare for them to kind of go all in.
01:05The closest they've come in the last few years is getting Corbin Burns and probably he's going to be gone at the end of the season.
01:11So Baltimore is certainly playing to get in what I'm now calling the postseason tournament for Major League Baseball.
01:17And, yeah, look, I think the American League is kind of wide open at this point.
01:22That's a major injury for a guy that, you know, in the postseason is going to throw six innings, three earned runs, no walks, four strikeouts.
01:29And then the bullpens decide the game.
01:31It's kind of who Eflin is.
