Dallas Trinity FC Prepares For FC Barcelona

The new professional women’s soccer team in North Texas, Dallas Trinity FC, will play a friendly match against the successful FC Barcelona on August 30th at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.   Barcelona Femení, the current champion of LaLiga F and the UEFA Women’s Champions League, is considered one of the best female soccer teams in the world.   Dallas Trinity FC President, Charlie Neil, expressed excitement about the valuable opportunity to compete against such a top-tier international squad.

00:00A new era of soccer has begun here in North Texas. Dallas Trinity FC is the

00:09area's first professional women's soccer game. A 1-1 draw last weekend in Tampa

00:14was the scoreline for the franchise's first inaugural game in the USL Super

00:18League and it was Hannah Davison who scored the team's first goal. That was a

00:22really special moment obviously the first goal in the club's history but as

00:25a center back I don't find myself in front of the goal often so for those who

00:30don't know my career I just came back to the States after being abroad so to have

00:33my family in the stands and like that whole full circle moment for me was

00:37really cool. And you have a player in Gracie Bryan who is no stranger to the

00:41DFW scene having played five years of college soccer at TCU. I didn't know I

00:47would get to play you know here in Dallas I never thought that would ever

00:50happen so it was always a dream you know and so for it to be a reality is

00:55something super special and I'm just so excited. You'll be able to see Dallas

00:59Trinity FC at home in the Cotton Bowl next Friday August 30th when they host a
