DOH: Ika-10 kaso ng mpox sa bansa, nagpakita ng mpxv clade II na mild o hindi gaanong matindi

00:00The Department of Health announced that the 10 cases of MPOC in the country are mild or not that severe.

00:08According to the report of the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine or RITM to Health Secretary Ted Herbosa,

00:16the sequencing of the sample obtained from the patient showed MPXV Clade 2.

00:23According to the DOH, MPXV Clade 2 is milder compared to Clade 1

00:29that has an estimated mortality rate of 1% to 4%.

00:36The DOH again reminded the public to remain alert

00:40and not to neglect to always wash hands or use alcohol-based sanitizers.

00:48First, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ordered the government agencies

00:54to continue to conduct surveillance, especially in areas and individuals who are vulnerable to the disease.

01:02The DOH also reiterated that the Ministry of Health and Welfare is ready to address and manage MPOCs.
