Hay's Way: Katharine is up north on the John O'Groats trail

00:00I'm just walking some of the John O'Groats trail, and yeah, just after Borough, towards

00:25Helmsdale. It's definitely a path that's kind of still a work in progress because it's quite

00:31difficult, especially with a bag that I've got, which is about 20 kilograms. You can

00:37tell there are still areas that need to be developed a little bit more, but I am in touch

00:42with the team who are behind it and they're working on it, because it's an amazing, it's

00:46a beautiful route, takes you along the coast. So yeah, definitely worth it, but just a word

00:53of warning to people who are doing it, it's like still a little bit, yeah, not so developed

00:58in some places, and by developed I don't mean like, you know, a full-on concrete road, it's

01:02just some areas are a little bit overgrown still, and like just along here, you just

01:09have to kind of walk along the edge of the rocks and there's a railway on the other side

01:13of it. It does just get a little bit tricky, but yeah, it's, hopefully they're going to

01:20get all the support they need to keep up the work so that we can have a good

01:27long-distance trail up the side of the north of Scotland.
