00:00It's possible that it will last until tomorrow before the broken air-con system that was installed in the passengers of IA Terminal 3 is completed.
00:10For the bus and train terminals, until tomorrow, passengers are expected to arrive this long weekend.
00:17Mark Salazar is a witness.
00:22Literally, no chill. Those who are in IA Terminal 3 even on a holiday long weekend.
00:28I'm so hot here. The air-con is dead. That's why I'm sweating now.
00:33The heat inside is different. It's not okay. The passengers are not comfortable. And those who are carrying.
00:38The 3 out of 5 chillers of the air-conditioning system of the terminal yesterday gave up.
00:44Other chillers also noticed that it's hard.
00:46Yesterday, our engineering had a monitoring and they noticed a high temperature, the operational temperature of the 3 chillers, chillers 1, 2, and 5.
00:58And because of their recommendation, they are concerned that if they let it go, it might cause damage to other parts of the cooling system.
01:06So, GM Eric Ines decided to turn it down, turn it off first to have it checked.
01:12Portable cooling units were deployed by the Manila International Airport Authority.
01:16But it's not enough for the passengers not to complain.
01:20We already procured drum fans on top of evaporative fans.
01:25It's possible that the air-con will be assembled until tomorrow afternoon.
01:28We called our contractor and they deployed additional personnel. Hopefully, they can find a way to reduce the downtime.
01:37According to NIA, Terminal 3 will last for two decades.
01:40It is expected that there will be a big improvement in the takeover of private concessionaires on September 14.
01:46It is expected that 12,000 passengers will arrive at Batangas Port today and twice tomorrow.
01:54Security also tightened the control of the port.
01:57They remind that pork products are still prohibited because of the African Swine Fever.
02:03The prohibited items are bladed weapons, firearms, and meat products.
02:08Our colleagues in other agencies are here to monitor.
02:12Don't force it. Just be patient.
02:17Several additional units of bus terminals in Lipa City are also on standby.
02:22Passengers are expected to arrive there by tomorrow.
02:25Yesterday, passengers from Iloilo City started to return to different parts of Iloilo Province, Capiz, and Aklan.
02:33In Subong, all passengers are manageable.
02:37So, trips are as in.
02:40In case, if there is an influx of passengers, we extend it.
02:45The number of vacationers in Boracay is also decreasing.
02:49According to the Malay Tourism Office, from August 1 to 15, there were more than 70,000 tourist arrivals.
02:58It is expected to increase this long weekend,
03:01along with the return of various water sports activities.
03:05To the tourists, please talk to the accredited Aqua Sports Provider.
03:11For GMA Integrated News, Mark Salazar, your eyewitness.
03:18Before the eyewitness, the Miya'a Airport was troubleshooting the broken air-conditioning system in IA Terminal 3 until 7 p.m.
03:25The ideal temperature has not yet reached, but it is colder at the airport now than before.
