00:00Welcome to Tell Us Your English.
00:06We go live to Caracas to see statements offered by General Attorney Tarek William Sadler.
00:11Let's see.
00:12We have been advancing in first place.
00:18I want to read.
00:22I want to welcome the final judgment of the Supreme Court of Justice, which stated the
00:32final judgment of the contentious appeal filed by citizen Nicolás Moros on July 31st, 2024,
00:46which is very important, and through which he also cites a right.
00:55So we have precedence in the Western Hemisphere, which we will cite later, and President Nicolás
01:06Maduro requested the Supreme Court of Justice to open an investigation, an auditing process
01:15of the electoral process of the tally sheets on July 28 elections.
01:23So in an act, an opposition far-right sector, which have been escalating the violent actions
01:39against the Venezuelan people, the Venezuelan, the Venezuela, despite the aforesaid explained
01:49and cited, the far-right opposition didn't want to recognize those, the final judgment
02:01of the Supreme Court of Justice.
02:03So instead, going through the institutional routes, the opposition called to violence.
02:27So we denounced, and we have been talking about this with diplomatic corps, and they
02:36used organized criminal groups, common criminals, who were nearby the parallel organization
02:51to them, including the bad-called commanditos, to achieve something that they didn't achieve
03:05by the electoral process.
03:07So it is important to highlight that in our condition, in our function as prosecutor's
03:14office, we participated in the three hearings summoned by the electoral chamber on 7th of
03:23August, in which the presidential candidates appeared except for one, Edmundo González
03:33Urrutia, who was absent, disregarding the summons of the Supreme Court of Justice, and
03:49demonstrating his disrespect of the Venezuelan state and institutions represented by the
03:59republic.
04:01I want to highlight the historical final judgment through the electoral chamber, which have
04:09recent precedents in the world.
04:12Particularly, I want to cite those of the Western Hemisphere, that is, those are the
04:17cases of the United States, Mexico, and Brazil.
04:20In the case of the U.S., let's recall that in 2000, the Supreme Court of Justice settled
04:28the electoral controversial process in which the presidency of the country was disputed
04:40between Bush and another candidate.
04:43And so in Brazil, they were on an electoral controversy as well, in which the far-right
04:53opposition filed an appeal before the Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil, the one that is
05:06in charge of the affairs.
05:09And so there, he recognized and respected the court.
05:20And Richard Bolsonaro did it, being a far-right man who has been in favor of fascism.
05:50And so in the case of the United States, the Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil, the
05:57Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil, the Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil, the Supreme Court
06:04of Justice of Brazil, the Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil, the Supreme Court of Justice
06:11of Brazil, the Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil, the Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil,
06:18the Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil, the Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil, the Supreme
06:24Court of Justice of Brazil, the Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil, the Supreme Court of
06:29Justice of Brazil, the Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil, the Supreme Court of Justice of
06:33Brazil, the Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil, the Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil, the
06:38Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil, the Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil, the Supreme Court
06:43of Justice of Brazil, the Supreme Court of Justice of Brazil, the Supreme Court of Justice
06:47of Brazil, the Supreme Court
07:03the suppression of functions, installation of the not compliance with the laws, cyber
07:09cyber crimes, criminal association, and conspiracy.
07:17So those fake documents uploaded on the website ResultadosPresidenciales.com, likewise, the
07:31massive cyber attack denounced against the national electoral system, which were anti-judicial
07:41behaviors and institutional crimes against the judicial order.
07:53And so that's the side about the final judgment of the Supreme Court of Justice, and the investigation
08:02that we are carrying out, it is anticipated by the prosecutor's office, and supported
08:12by other institutions.
08:18We are just verifying the people and the websites used to generate uncertainty and unrest on
08:31the population.
08:32And so it is evident the criminal behavior of Gonzalez-Rutia by not attending, appearing
08:42before the Supreme Court of Justice, which the court declared that this citizen did not
08:53comply with the summons, and so he has to be sanctioned as the articles of the Constitution
09:06of the Penal Code stipulated.
09:10So let's see how this alleged candidate, I want to make a reflection, I want to more
09:17as this candidate submitted to the electoral process, he was submitted to these elections,
09:35he made a campaign in terms of ghosting terms, as he was ordered by this Maria Corina Machado,
09:48and so there were the parties that supported him, that by the way they appeared before
10:00the Supreme Court of Justice, and so they said that they didn't have any tally sheets,
10:07so you said that they were fraud, but when the Supreme Court of Justice summoned you,
10:17and that is recorded, and it could be disseminated later, the representatives of the parties
10:28supporting Edmundo Gonzalez-Rutia said they didn't have the tally sheets, so what they
10:35had were some forged documents uploaded on a website.
10:41So I want to see the lack of dignity of this citizen, I want you to see this post by Edmundo
10:57Gonzalez, sovereignty lies in the people, and so he said he served the functions of
11:08the Supreme Court of Justice, of the National Electoral Council, who is this person to say
11:15that?
11:17Let's not forget that the unclassified documents in power of the whole world reveals that Edmundo
11:28Gonzalez-Rutia and Leopoldo Castillo were responsible amid the insurgents' struggle
11:39in El Salvador of the murder of seven religious persons, and so he then was a secretary of
11:53Castillo, at the moment these crimes were perpetrated, in which they were mentioned
12:00in the serial murder of these religious persons, so he's not the person who seems he is, but
12:11he was used, obviously, and he allowed him to be used in this situation that was escalated,
12:22but when he was summoned, he didn't show up, so I am sure that for something which
12:30is very evident for us, he is a very coward person, he is afraid of justice, so it was
12:44positive correct that you appeared on the electoral process, so you are validating the
12:51electoral power, you are trusting the electoral power, so why did you participate in the electoral
12:59power? So it cannot be that the electoral power is good for being submitted to the elections,
13:08and for making your electoral campaign, that's your problem, but it couldn't be good, but then
13:17the electoral power is bad when it declares the results grounded in the system, in the electoral
13:27system which was affected, the counting of the electoral data, which fortunately as a Venezuelan
13:37state, we could stop the massive cyber attack, that even a hacker took responsibility of this
13:48publicly, and you see that when we said it before the diplomatic council ministry, even a hacker,
14:03a well-known hacker, took responsibility of the attack to the electoral system, and this plan
14:11brought about the non-violence in which all were accountable of the 27 deaths of the 190 injured,
14:23the briefing we have made had been advancing, we have been updating it, and any of those regrettable
14:33deaths, I have said it many times, I am going to repeat it, it is attributable, there is no single
14:43claim, allegation, in any prosecutor's office or nationwide, or even in our office, attributable
14:57to security forces of the state, to the forces of the state, and so that's where they are planned,
15:07to fortunately, we managed to stop those isolated riots on a day and a half, between 6 p.m. to 7
15:22and 10 p.m., it was all the criminal actions that they committed, and they continued on July 30,
15:33in those two days, 100% of those deaths are in charge of these criminal groups that were made up
15:49of the commanditos led by the far-right opposition. I want to announce that in the coming hours,
15:57citizen Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia has been summoned by this prosecutor's office on the
16:06grounds of this ongoing investigation, for him to declare about his authorship of this website,
16:22that has usurped the function of the electoral power, of the Venezuelan electoral power, he will
16:32have to respond, he will have to appear, the prosecutor's office has the authority to summon
16:46the involved to advance the investigation, so in that regard, you probably will know that such
16:56summons, and we hope that this citizen, who hasn't been showing up, he has been showing up on X,
17:13and we don't know if he is posting or not, but we are certain that he could appear, he has to
17:26appear to his summons for him to talk consequently about his accountability in the before July 28th
17:41and after July 28th, for his disregard of the legitimate authorities, and I conclude that if
17:54the National Electoral Council and the Venezuelan state was good for participating in elections,
18:02being submitted as a candidate, backed up by some parties, so that same state with those
18:11democratic institutions have to be good for issuing the final results regarding the elections
18:23or justice in due case, so Venezuela must be respected and those who have deemed about
18:40Venezuela's elections are violating the human rights, and so Venezuela has been an example
18:48for non-intervention and respecting the self-determination of the people, so thank you very much.
18:55We will listen to the Attorney General of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, who addressed
19:03the investigation process into the criminal acts performed by the so-called Comanditos,
19:09financed by the far-right. In this context, he underscored the significance of the final
19:14judgment issued by the Venezuelan top court on Thursday that validated the results of the CNE,
19:20giving the presidency and the electoral win to Nicolás Maduro, and he also spoke about
19:26the precedence on Western countries such as Mexico, the US and Brazil regarding similar
19:33events. He also spoke to the responsibility that lies in far-right sectors regarding the
19:39acts of violence that followed on the July 28th elections as part of the stabilization attempts
19:44that the prosecutor's office continues to investigate. We will have more information
19:49on upcoming news, please stay tuned with Tell Us Your English.
