00:00I'd like to express the world of Terminator as much as possible in the anime.
00:09And I'd also like to show how the animation is made.

00:20I'm Mattson Tomlin. I am the executive producer and showrunner of Terminator 0.
00:25I'm going to talk about the first two minutes of Terminator 0.
00:31First, I'd like to show the cruelty of the Terminator.
00:40I'd like to make it a bit like the original Terminator 1, with a bit of a horror taste.
00:49One of the things that came up early developing a show that took place in Japan is
00:54I took for granted the existence of guns.
00:57We had to come up with other ways for the Terminator to arm himself.
01:00That turned into a really fun, collaborative conversation.
01:06What I'm holding in my hand is a minigun.
01:09A minigun that appeared in both Terminator 2 and the movie.
01:15First, I made a rough sketch of the movement and verified it.
01:23After coloring it, I thought about how to make use of the texture.
01:34I'm also an animator.
01:36I draw the movement.
01:43I draw the movement in detail even when I'm working on the content.
01:53This is the first time I've used the term Terminator in a Japanese anime.
02:00I think I'll be able to show a new version of Terminator.
02:13The process for doing anything animated is a long, long, long process.
02:19But it's a fun process. It's always getting better.
02:22This is years and years of not just my life, but hundreds of really talented artists' lives.
