00:00I see you today, you're so glamorous and that's what we're used to seeing you like, but
00:04obviously in this movie, you know, you're dressing for the time periods. What would, what were you,
00:10what did you make of the fashion choices back then and what was it like getting into that
00:13character in, in that regard? Well, the director was like, I don't want you to wear any makeup in
00:19this movie. I'm just, you know, wearing this kind of faded dress that's not very, you know,
00:24flattering. And, um, you know, I just thought I want to go for it. I want it to be real.
00:29I don't want to try to be this glamorous Hollywood actress. I just want to be like the real woman
00:33during this time period. Who's just fighting to survive and take care of her daughter.
00:37Yeah. Does that ever make you self-conscious not having like the makeup and things like that,
00:41or you just feel like this is exactly who this character is?
00:45No, I felt totally self-conscious. I was asking the makeup artist, I'm like,
00:48can I just get a little more eye shadow, please? Just like a little more mascara.
00:51And they're like, no. Was she a difficult character for you to get into?
00:57I was really excited to play it. I loved how complicated she is. She's kind of angry and bitter,
01:03but she loves her daughter and she wants to protect her. And I just loved how smart she is
01:08and resourceful and how she can try to outsmart these bad guys and that she's kind of smarter.
