01:38Right. It all adds up to the solution to the mystery of the ghost of the demon shark.
01:43Now, let's see if he's who we think he is.
01:48It's him, all right. Mr. Wells.
01:52I still don't understand how you figured out the mystery.
01:56It's simple, Professor. The real demon shark is still frozen in your lab.

02:02But Wells used this costume to pose as the demon shark
02:05to make it seem that it had been brought back to life.
02:08But why would he do that?
02:10Because he wanted to scare Dreyfuss, the manager, off the job.
02:13Why Dreyfuss? To answer that, let's start with the crime.
02:16While he was in India dredging up the demon,
02:19Wells read about the jewel shipment
02:21and arranged for the demon to be shipped on the same plane.
02:24Then Wells used his expert skill at cabinet-making
02:27to construct a secret hiding place for himself
02:30in the base of the real demon's cabinet.
02:32After the guards locked the customs building,
02:35he sneaked out, snatched the pearls, and dug back in.
02:38So now he had the pearls.
02:40But why did he want to scare off Mr. Dreyfuss?
02:43Wells had hidden the pearls inside some frozen oysters from Sam's fish market.
02:48Then he put them in the tank with the live oysters,
02:51intending to ship them out of the state to another aqualand in Florida
02:55where he could pick them up later.
02:57It was the only way to get the pearls past all the police roadblocks.
03:00But like Mr. Dreyfuss wouldn't permit the shipment,
03:03so he tried to scare him away with the demon shark costume.
03:07Then he could take over the manager's job
03:09and authorize the oyster shipments himself.
03:12Then all that searching you did was a waste of time.
03:16Right on.
03:17Wells was just trying to confuse everyone.
03:19But you kids don't fool easy.
03:21And you showed up just in time to foul up his plan.
03:26I never thought Scooby'd go water skiing again
03:29after that shark practically ate up his skis.
03:32Like me neither, but this time he isn't taking any chances.
