00:00:00I've never thought of a hospital being unsafe.
00:00:04Her parents are called in the morning and told to rush to the hospital.
00:00:0915-20 minutes later, that person was like,
00:00:11your daughter has committed suicide.
00:00:13She was not allowed to see her daughter for 3 hours.
00:00:16Both her legs were wide open.
00:00:19She is not wearing her clothes.
00:00:20Her pelvic girdle is broken.
00:00:22Blood is coming from different parts of her body.
00:00:24Her spectacles are broken.
00:00:26Suicides don't happen like this.
00:00:27Authorities were trying to suppress this case.
00:00:30They were not even ready to make a case.
00:00:32What was found in the post-mortem report?
00:00:33There was 151 milligrams of viscous fluid,
00:00:38that is most probably semen, was found inside her.
00:00:41A person came casually while listening to songs.
00:00:43I don't know who told him.
00:00:45There is a female doctor alone.
00:00:46She is resting.
00:00:47He raped her.
00:00:49He murdered her.
00:00:49And casually left his Bluetooth there.
00:00:52He even slept there.
00:00:53No one will believe it.
00:00:54Within an hour, he confessed in the High Court.
00:00:56Yes, I did all this.
00:00:57And yes, hang me.
00:00:59It's not one person's thing.
00:01:00It was a gang rape.
00:01:02If there is one very gang,
00:01:03one police officer is standing,
00:01:04and there are 50 people in front of him.
00:01:077000 people came.
00:01:08Doctors fought for themselves.
00:01:10Police, in fact, stood far away.
00:01:12Their primary motive for raping was not a sexual urge.
00:01:15The primary motive of the serial rapist
00:01:17was to show their patriarchal dominance.
00:01:20That I will teach a lesson to this girl.
00:01:22I don't know what to say.
00:01:23Because for this podcast,
00:01:24I haven't done any proper introduction,
00:01:26write, or script.
00:01:28In our country,
00:01:29a very heinous,
00:01:30a very horrifying,
00:01:32and terrifying crime has happened.
00:01:33I am talking about the rape case of Kolkata.
00:01:36And we have come to know about it
00:01:38on social media for the past 2-3 days.
00:01:41But this case is 7-10 days old from today.
00:01:43And for the past 7-10 days,
00:01:45Dr. Rakshita Singh,
00:01:46who is also our guest in this podcast,
00:01:48is talking about this case.
00:01:50She is leading a protest from day 1.
00:01:52She is raising her voice from day 1.
00:01:54She is asking for justice from day 1.
00:01:56There are so many things
00:01:57that happened in the past 3-4 days
00:01:59about which no one has any idea.
00:02:00There is not much talk about it in the media.
00:02:02In the media, on social media,
00:02:03a lot has happened in the past 2-3 days.
00:02:05But what exactly happened on day 1?
00:02:07How did these events build up?
00:02:09How was the accused caught?
00:02:11And what fishy things are happening behind the scenes?
00:02:14Dr. Rakshita knows that from day 1.
00:02:16She has been part of the whole movement
00:02:18and the whole protest.
00:02:19So in this podcast,
00:02:21we are going to do a very deep dive
00:02:23on the whole timeline.
00:02:24What exactly happened when,
00:02:26what happened after that,
00:02:27and what happened after that.
00:02:28And you will get a very good idea
00:02:30of how exactly all the events unfolded.
00:02:32And needless to say,
00:02:34this podcast, this story, this video,
00:02:37definitely share it with your family,
00:02:38WhatsApp groups, with your friends.
00:02:41Because we talked about this in the end of the podcast.
00:02:44Our country has become so normalized
00:02:46regarding rape cases
00:02:48that whenever such news comes,
00:02:49we become very desensitized.
00:02:51But it's a very good thing
00:02:52that finally such a movement has been created
00:02:54in which everyone is talking about it.
00:02:56They are asking for justice for crimes against women.
00:02:59And it's very important
00:03:00that we keep this movement,
00:03:02this voice continued.
00:03:03Only then justice will not only come in this case,
00:03:06but a systematic difference will also come.
00:03:08So I request once again all of you
00:03:10that after watching this podcast,
00:03:11if you feel that this is something
00:03:13which more people should know about,
00:03:14they should talk about,
00:03:15share this with your friends and family.
00:03:17And needless to say,
00:03:18every week on such important topics,
00:03:21I keep doing easy to understand
00:03:22and insightful discussions.
00:03:24So do press the subscribe button too.
00:03:26Now let's talk to Dr. Rakshita.
00:03:28So Dr. Rakshita,
00:03:29thank you so much for joining us today.
00:03:31You are someone whom I have been following
00:03:33on social media since day 1 around this incident.
00:03:35People usually got to know after 12th, 13th August
00:03:38that such a big horrifying incident happened in Kolkata.
00:03:40But you have been talking about this
00:03:42and protesting about this from day 1
00:03:44which is 9th August or 10th August.
00:03:46I want you to take us through the whole incident,
00:03:49the whole story from your POV
00:03:51that when this incident happened,
00:03:53how did you get to know about it?
00:03:54Then how did you start this protest?
00:03:57And how eventually the whole nation
00:03:59started getting to know about this?
00:04:01Alright, so I hope
00:04:03everyone knows something about this.
00:04:06There are a lot of videos on social media.
00:04:08I am not aware how much people know the truth
00:04:11because there are a lot of rumours and all
00:04:13and all those things are going on.
00:04:15So the things which are sure,
00:04:18I am going to discuss those things today.
00:04:21So what happened was,
00:04:23what happens to us doctors,
00:04:25almost 36 hours, sometimes 48 hours,
00:04:28sometimes 72 hours,
00:04:30it goes upto this limit.
00:04:32There are so many duties.
00:04:34So she was a 2nd year resident.
00:04:36Now what is a 2nd year resident?
00:04:38We finish class 11th and 12th.
00:04:40Then we have an exam called as NEET UG.
00:04:43We give that.
00:04:44We finish MBBS of 5.5 years.
00:04:46Then we prepare for another exam
00:04:48that is called as NEET PG, post-graduation.
00:04:50After that the residency starts
00:04:52of 3 years.
00:04:53Now residency, junior resident.
00:04:55If you do the Hindi of resident,
00:04:57you will also get to know that
00:04:58someone who is resident of the hospital.
00:05:00Who lives there.
00:05:01Yeah.
00:05:02So resident is sort of like
00:05:04they live in the hospital.
00:05:05Their 3 years of residency
00:05:07is spent in the hospital.
00:05:09Now she was a 2nd year resident.
00:05:11She was on call duty for 36 hours.
00:05:15There, around 11 in the night,
00:05:18she called her mother.
00:05:20And normally we talked.
00:05:22Mom, I am fine.
00:05:23Now I am going for a round.
00:05:24You go to sleep.
00:05:25This is 8th August, 11 PM.
00:05:278th August, 11 PM.
00:05:28So normally they would have
00:05:29such discussions with their mom.
00:05:31And this always happens to me.
00:05:33Let's say I also have a night duty.
00:05:35So I always call my dad.
00:05:37Let's say I am coming on the way.
00:05:39So my dad is a little tensed
00:05:41whether it is safe on the way or not.
00:05:42So I come while talking to my dad.
00:05:44Because usually we don't get time
00:05:45in the whole week.
00:05:46So we are going and coming.
00:05:47That's when we talk to dad.
00:05:48So as soon as I step into the hospital,
00:05:50I say, okay dad, now I have reached the hospital.
00:05:52Okay, reached the hospital.
00:05:53Okay.
00:05:54So even my dad becomes like
00:05:55now the child has reached the hospital.
00:05:57Now she is safe.
00:05:58So we must have talked at 11 in the night.
00:06:01She did not live in the hostel.
00:06:03Her parents live in Kolkata.
00:06:05She used to do daily up and down.
00:06:06She had a car.
00:06:07So after that she went for a round.
00:06:11And usually around 2-3 o'clock
00:06:14the patient flow is less.
00:06:16And we get time to have dinner only then.
00:06:19Like if our duty started at 5.30 in the evening,
00:06:22then we also usually have dinner
00:06:24at 3 or 4 in the morning.
00:06:26Okay.
00:06:27So usually from 5 pm when you start working,
00:06:29you get free at 3-4 am.
00:06:31It's usually like for example,
00:06:33there is a thing called as Ad Day.
00:06:35Means admission days.
00:06:37So we have units in our hospital.
00:06:39In every hospital.
00:06:40In units,
00:06:41suppose today is Monday.
00:06:43Monday is my Ad Day.
00:06:44So from morning to around 9-2 am,
00:06:48we sit in the OPD.
00:06:50We have dinner from 2-5 pm.
00:06:52From 5.30 pm,
00:06:54our night duty starts.
00:06:56Okay.
00:06:57After that,
00:06:58she goes till 2-3 pm without sleeping.
00:07:00Straight.
00:07:01This is about my gynecological postings.
00:07:04It is different in surgery.
00:07:05In that,
00:07:06it goes to another limit.
00:07:08So now,
00:07:10all the patients who will come to the hospital on that day,
00:07:13they will be admitted in my unit.
00:07:15Okay.
00:07:16Now for the whole week,
00:07:17we will take care of those patients.
00:07:19And no other unit will manage them.
00:07:22Everyone has their own division.
00:07:24So their Ad Day was also going on.
00:07:27It was night.
00:07:29At that time,
00:07:30around 2 pm,
00:07:31they got time to eat with their 3-4 juniors.
00:07:34Around 2 pm.
00:07:35Around 2 pm.
00:07:36They had dinner.
00:07:37And now,
00:07:38she is a second year resident.
00:07:40Now,
00:07:41for example,
00:07:42I am doing internship right now.
00:07:44So,
00:07:45internship is very hectic.
00:07:47But we make any mistake.
00:07:49We always think,
00:07:50okay,
00:07:51she is a first year resident.
00:07:52We made a mistake.
00:07:53Now tell us what to do.
00:07:54So,
00:07:55we work on ourselves.
00:07:56But we don't have that responsibility.
00:07:58First year residents have that responsibility.
00:08:01Second year residents also have to stay there
00:08:04because there will be a lot of things
00:08:06that we don't know.
00:08:07So what we do is,
00:08:08okay,
00:08:09the patient flow is low.
00:08:11We will take care of the patients.
00:08:13Because you are also going through the same phase.
00:08:15So now you deserve rest.
00:08:17We will handle it.
00:08:18This is our phase.
00:08:19We will work hard in these years.
00:08:21And this is how it always happens.
00:08:23So,
00:08:24first year and I guess interns,
00:08:26those people in the hospital,
00:08:28after that they said,
00:08:29okay,
00:08:30you go and rest.
00:08:31Now,
00:08:32in maximum hospitals,
00:08:34there are no proper rooms for doctors.
00:08:38There are no on-call rooms.
00:08:40So that they can rest.
00:08:41They can sleep for half an hour.
00:08:43Even we are humans, right?
00:08:45It's not practically possible for us
00:08:47to work continuously for hours.
00:08:50Even we,
00:08:51being interns,
00:08:53who are doing this duty for the first time,
00:08:55let's say,
00:08:56there is a table like this.
00:08:57Here,
00:08:58in the park,
00:08:59there is a sitting chair,
00:09:00something like that.
00:09:01We sleep on it.
00:09:02In between,
00:09:03if the patient does not come for 15 minutes,
00:09:04close your eyes for 15 minutes.
00:09:05As much as possible.
00:09:06There is no place.
00:09:07No place.
00:09:08Rest wherever you find.
00:09:09There are hardly one or two departments
00:09:10that are new.
00:09:11Maybe it will be in that.
00:09:12But in maximum departments,
00:09:14there is no proper doctor's room.
00:09:17In the whole hospital,
00:09:18even the washrooms are in such a state,
00:09:20like mine there,
00:09:21the washroom of pediatrics is very clean.
00:09:23So,
00:09:24in the gynecology department,
00:09:26the washroom is in such a bad condition
00:09:27that we cannot even use that.
00:09:28If we want to use it,
00:09:29we will go to pediatrics.
00:09:30And then,
00:09:31we will use that washroom.
00:09:32Sometimes,
00:09:33it happens like
00:09:34there are people in medicine.
00:09:35We are posted in the gynecology department.
00:09:38Suppose,
00:09:39someone has a heart problem at night.
00:09:41So,
00:09:42we will call the medicine PGT.
00:09:44Because,
00:09:45the PGTs of the gynecology department
00:09:46cannot manage that patient.
00:09:48So,
00:09:49even in the departments,
00:09:50we have to go from here to there on the road.
00:09:52We have to come and go in the middle of the hospital.
00:09:54We consider that to be very safe.
00:09:56At night,
00:09:57around 2 o'clock,
00:09:58sometimes,
00:09:59we come to the canteen
00:10:00for a cup of tea.
00:10:01So,
00:10:02there were two beds in the seminar room.
00:10:06They must have taken the decision to rest there.
00:10:09And everyone must have told them
00:10:10to go and sleep.
00:10:11Seminar room is very common here.
00:10:13Seminar rooms?
00:10:14What exactly is a seminar room in a hospital?
00:10:16So,
00:10:17what are seminar rooms?
00:10:18When we are in the first year MBBS,
00:10:20second year MBBS,
00:10:21then our subjects
00:10:22are non-clinical subjects.
00:10:23Okay.
00:10:24Means,
00:10:25we do not need hospitals.
00:10:27For example,
00:10:28microbiology.
00:10:29In that,
00:10:30we need labs.
00:10:31We do not need hospitals.
00:10:32Okay.
00:10:33So,
00:10:34the college building is separate.
00:10:36But,
00:10:37as soon as we step in third year,
00:10:38especially final year,
00:10:39after that,
00:10:40now,
00:10:41we go to college with great difficulty.
00:10:44Our whole life is spent in the hospital.
00:10:46And,
00:10:47there are no classes for residents.
00:10:48Now,
00:10:49sometimes,
00:10:50sometimes,
00:10:51some professors take classes,
00:10:52something like that.
00:10:53So,
00:10:54in the hospital itself,
00:10:55some rooms are made
00:10:57where seminars are held.
00:10:58If a professor wants to take a class,
00:11:01or if a new disease has come,
00:11:03we have to update about it.
00:11:04So,
00:11:05some chairs are there.
00:11:06Now,
00:11:07there are not many residents.
00:11:08It is not like a class of 200 students.
00:11:09We have to make a lot of people sit there.
00:11:1010 people,
00:11:1115 people.
00:11:12Suppose,
00:11:13we have to call people from other departments.
00:11:14So,
00:11:15maximum 20-25 people.
00:11:16So,
00:11:17seminar room is basically like
00:11:18a classroom in a hospital.
00:11:19Yeah.
00:11:20Inside a hospital.
00:11:21So,
00:11:22we have to conduct
00:11:23some small seminars there.
00:11:24Maybe,
00:11:25nurses are conducting.
00:11:26Maybe,
00:11:27doctors are conducting.
00:11:28So,
00:11:29that is why
00:11:30there are seminar rooms.
00:11:31Now,
00:11:32in their seminar room,
00:11:33there were two beds.
00:11:34So,
00:11:35I guess,
00:11:36everyone needs that bed.
00:11:37They should straighten their legs
00:11:38and sleep.
00:11:39They are sleeping for 1-2 hours.
00:11:40They must have found it empty there.
00:11:41They must have slept there.
00:11:42Even for me,
00:11:43suppose,
00:11:44my co-intern said,
00:11:45I will take care of it for 1 hour.
00:11:46The patient is not coming.
00:11:47You go and sleep
00:11:48for half an hour.
00:11:49So,
00:11:50wherever I see a bed in a hospital,
00:11:51I go there and sleep.
00:11:52Anywhere.
00:11:53Till date,
00:11:54I have never thought
00:11:55that even in a hospital,
00:11:56it can be unsafe.
00:11:57So,
00:11:58she must have slept there.
00:11:59After that,
00:12:00what happened to her
00:12:01in the night?
00:12:02I don't know.
00:12:03We get to know
00:12:04only from what her parents
00:12:05tell us.
00:12:06And,
00:12:07we can get a clear idea
00:12:08of what happened.
00:12:09In the morning,
00:12:10around 8 am,
00:12:11our ad day
00:12:12ends.
00:12:13And,
00:12:14we handover
00:12:15the other unit.
00:12:16Okay,
00:12:17one second.
00:12:18Just to understand
00:12:19the timeline
00:12:20for the viewers,
00:12:21last we know is
00:12:22that
00:12:23during the night,
00:12:24at 2 am,
00:12:25she
00:12:26did her
00:12:27dinner.
00:12:28And,
00:12:29around 3 pm,
00:12:30she went to rest
00:12:31in the seminar room.
00:12:32And,
00:12:33now we are coming
00:12:34to 8 am.
00:12:358 am.
00:12:36Okay.
00:12:37What happened
00:12:38between 3 to 8 am,
00:12:39right now,
00:12:40you didn't know.
00:12:41No one knows.
00:12:42This is what we are
00:12:43asking the CBI.
00:12:44Who came,
00:12:45what happened.
00:12:46So,
00:12:47around 8-9 pm,
00:12:48post ad day rounds
00:12:49start.
00:12:50Like,
00:12:51as I said,
00:12:52the number of patients
00:12:53that I have admitted,
00:12:54the maximum patients
00:12:55are unstable.
00:12:56So,
00:12:57we take a lot of time
00:12:58on one patient.
00:12:59So,
00:13:00post ad day rounds
00:13:01are very long.
00:13:02First,
00:13:03intern first year
00:13:04rounds are given.
00:13:05Why?
00:13:06Like,
00:13:07we will do
00:13:08as much as
00:13:09we know.
00:13:10Now,
00:13:11second year,
00:13:12will come after that.
00:13:13Okay,
00:13:14you drew blood.
00:13:15Okay,
00:13:16you sent this
00:13:17to report.
00:13:18Send this too.
00:13:19Then,
00:13:20third year comes.
00:13:21Then,
00:13:22they do their work
00:13:23very easily.
00:13:24So that,
00:13:25they don't need
00:13:26that much time.
00:13:27So,
00:13:28there,
00:13:29they must have
00:13:30gone to ask
00:13:31where didi is
00:13:32as it's time
00:13:33for the rounds.
00:13:34So,
00:13:35they go there
00:13:36and see.
00:13:37And,
00:13:382-3
00:13:39of their juniors,
00:13:40a professor was also there.
00:13:41One of their
00:13:42immediate senior,
00:13:43third year resident,
00:13:44in an interview with them,
00:13:45they said,
00:13:46when I went,
00:13:47till then,
00:13:48someone had
00:13:49thrown a bed sheet
00:13:50on his upper body
00:13:51and there was a lot of stuff lying on the floor
00:13:57So, around 11 o'clock, his parents told him about the situation he was in
00:14:02Around 11 o'clock, his parents get a call in the day
00:14:07that your daughter is very sick, come to the hospital as soon as possible
00:14:12Okay, they got a call that your daughter is sick, at 11 o'clock in the morning
00:14:16This is what his parents clearly said
00:14:19We got a call that your daughter is very sick, come to the hospital as soon as possible
00:14:25They had a conversation at 11 o'clock in the night
00:14:27So, now she is on her duty, she will go home now
00:14:31Because she does up and down daily
00:14:33So, the parents were a little worried that how can this happen
00:14:35They were worried that they might have made a wrong call at night
00:14:37So, they started calling back
00:14:39No one picked up the call for 15-20 minutes
00:14:41The person who had called just said that he had cut the call
00:14:43And after that, no one was picking up the call
00:14:45After 15-20 minutes, the person who picked up the call
00:14:49That person was like, your daughter has committed suicide
00:14:56Okay
00:14:57Yeah, and if you look at the interview of his parents
00:15:01Then you will clearly know that they are very innocent people
00:15:05Like, if someone says to my parents that they are a little smart
00:15:10But I don't know how they are
00:15:14Maybe they are in a lot of trauma
00:15:16But from the way they talk, you can tell that some people are very innocent
00:15:21So, they got scared
00:15:22His father said that when he said that he has committed suicide
00:15:26Then we realized that something has gone wrong
00:15:29He took one or two people who were close to him in his neighborhood
00:15:33And they ran to the hospital
00:15:35By around 1 o'clock, on the 9th of August, he reached the hospital
00:15:41No one allowed him to see his daughter for three hours
00:15:46They were just standing
00:15:48No one is telling anything
00:15:50Everyone is repeatedly saying that he has committed suicide
00:15:53He has committed suicide
00:15:54No one is allowing him to see
00:15:55I mean, once you think about it
00:15:57Your child, your sister
00:16:00More than you
00:16:02I don't think anyone else has the right over that child
00:16:08Except parents
00:16:11I mean, something has happened to me
00:16:12My parents are not allowed to see me
00:16:16But still, I don't know why they did not fight back
00:16:20Or something like that
00:16:21What happened, what didn't happen
00:16:23God knows
00:16:24They stood there for three hours
00:16:26After that, his aunt told in an interview
00:16:30When he saw for the first time
00:16:32His father went
00:16:34He clicked the picture
00:16:35He came back
00:16:36He showed it to them
00:16:37In that
00:16:39At what time did they allow him to see?
00:16:41Around 4 o'clock
00:16:42They arrived at the hospital at 1 pm
00:16:44Around 4 o'clock
00:16:45They did not even allow him to see for 3 hours
00:16:46Yeah
00:16:48And when he saw for the first time
00:16:51Both her legs were wide open
00:16:54Literally at right angles
00:16:57It means the pelvic girdle is broken
00:17:01See, a woman keeps her child in the womb for 9 months
00:17:06So pelvic girdle is the strongest bone
00:17:09At least in a woman
00:17:10Because you have to hold a child for 9 months
00:17:14It's not at all possible for one person to break it
00:17:19It's not at all possible
00:17:20I mean, what is this?
00:17:21The girl must not have resisted
00:17:24She told
00:17:25The glasses she used to wear
00:17:27They are also bleeding in her eyes
00:17:29Because of that
00:17:30They are completely clogged
00:17:31Blood is coming from different parts of the body
00:17:35This was her condition
00:17:36And it is being said on it
00:17:38That she did suicide
00:17:40In the interview, everyone said
00:17:43All her colleagues
00:17:46Till then, everyone was there
00:17:47Gradually, juniors and seniors
00:17:48Everyone started messaging each other
00:17:49Come quickly
00:17:51It's not visible
00:17:53Like we study forensic medicine in the third year
00:17:55Okay
00:17:56So it's not possible that you will make us crazy about these things
00:18:01We are doctors
00:18:04We can still come up with an idea
00:18:06If you show it to a normal person
00:18:07He will not believe it
00:18:09She is not wearing her clothes
00:18:11Her pelvic girdle is broken
00:18:12It is being said that there was a fracture in the collarbone
00:18:16Blood is coming from different parts of the body
00:18:19The glasses are completely clogged
00:18:21This is not a suicide
00:18:24So those people literally protested
00:18:27That we want post-mortem
00:18:29Otherwise, they say
00:18:31That the authorities were trying to suppress this matter
00:18:34And they are not willing to do it
00:18:37Then when everyone protested
00:18:39All the students gathered there
00:18:41Then they were ready for post-mortem
00:18:43For example, in my college
00:18:45Something like this happened
00:18:47So technically
00:18:49It's not a neutral ground now
00:18:51You should take that person
00:18:53To another hospital for the post-mortem
00:18:55Their pathologist also said
00:18:57That you should take that person
00:18:59To another hospital for the post-mortem
00:19:01You should take that person
00:19:03To another hospital for the post-mortem
00:19:06Their pathologist also said
00:19:08That this should be followed
00:19:10Because you will get a neutral ground
00:19:12If you go to another hospital
00:19:14No one will be biased
00:19:16No one will be corrupted
00:19:18Anyone can be a suspect
00:19:20So technically
00:19:22They should have been taken to another hospital
00:19:24In Kolkata, there are almost 4-5 government hospitals
00:19:26You could have taken them to any of them
00:19:28But they were post-mortemed there
00:19:30But they were post-mortemed there
00:19:32Although 4-5 females
00:19:35From the gynecology department
00:19:37They were there
00:19:39Everything happened under the video
00:19:41And
00:19:43The post-mortem reports
00:19:45I guess everyone must have seen
00:19:47They are getting viral
00:19:49And their aunt has confirmed
00:19:51That those are the reports
00:19:53Because they have the actual reports
00:19:55What was in the post-mortem report?
00:19:57In the post-mortem report
00:19:59All over her body, it was bleeding
00:20:01Her eyes were bleeding
00:20:03There was
00:20:05151
00:20:07Milligrams of
00:20:09Viscous fluid
00:20:11That is most probably semen
00:20:13Was found inside her
00:20:15Which is literally
00:20:17Next to impossible
00:20:19For one man to ejaculate
00:20:21One normal human
00:20:23Maximum
00:20:25In one ejaculation
00:20:2710-15 mg max can be ejaculated
00:20:29And even if that person ejaculated 2-3 times
00:20:32The quantity decreases
00:20:34Maximum 20-25
00:20:36How did the rest happen?
00:20:38Like her pelvic girdle was broken
00:20:40The amount of semen found
00:20:42The autopsy
00:20:44Which was done
00:20:46By the doctors
00:20:48It was not
00:20:50One person's thing
00:20:52It was a gang rape
00:20:54We
00:20:56Got to know about this
00:20:58On the 9th night
00:21:01We have groups
00:21:03We forward pdfs
00:21:05Because our exams are the same
00:21:07Under the same university
00:21:09All the students of R.J.K
00:21:11Started messaging
00:21:13That something like this has happened
00:21:15And she is being tried for suicide
00:21:17All night
00:21:19On the 9th night
00:21:21Which is basically the first day
00:21:23Everybody got to know
00:21:25That such a heinous crime has happened
00:21:27And she is being tried for suicide
00:21:30And there is 99% medical proof
00:21:32That there is no post-mortem result
00:21:34Till then there was no post-mortem result
00:21:36They got to know only after seeing
00:21:38Think about it
00:21:40It is not a suicide
00:21:42It is not a suicide
00:21:44So there
00:21:46They started messaging
00:21:48Help us
00:21:50We all have to get together
00:21:52In the whole of Bengal
00:21:54At least
00:21:56We have to protest a little
00:21:59Only then it will happen
00:22:01So the next morning
00:22:03Those who didn't have a duty
00:22:05All of us
00:22:07We sat down
00:22:09In front of the emergency
00:22:11In a calm manner
00:22:13We need answers
00:22:15We didn't close any emergency
00:22:17Non-emergency services
00:22:19Those who didn't have a duty
00:22:21At that time
00:22:23Only they were there
00:22:25I am doing rural posting
00:22:27Maybe I went to the hospital
00:22:29I saw patients
00:22:31In OPD
00:22:33I came back and I sat with them
00:22:35Till then
00:22:37There was no news about him
00:22:39We kept our demands
00:22:41Only then
00:22:43We want
00:22:45Principal
00:22:47We want him to resign immediately
00:22:49And we want a CBI enquiry
00:22:51Because
00:22:53This was
00:22:56We were involved
00:22:58If you are trying to commit suicide
00:23:00Maybe they are also involved
00:23:02No one knows
00:23:04Based on what they are saying
00:23:06We kept our demands
00:23:08But no results
00:23:10We sat for the whole day
00:23:12No one came to talk to us
00:23:14Nothing
00:23:16Next day
00:23:18Around 11
00:23:20Reports come
00:23:22That a person has been caught
00:23:25The police say
00:23:27That person
00:23:29Saw a CCTV camera
00:23:31When he came
00:23:33He had Bluetooth
00:23:35We listen to songs
00:23:37When he went back
00:23:39He was not seen
00:23:41Then we got suspicious
00:23:43We found Bluetooth in the seminar room
00:23:45We called that person
00:23:47We saw 4-5 more people
00:23:49In the CCTV
00:23:51They were not mentioned
00:23:54Why they were not mentioned
00:23:56Something like that
00:23:58But that person
00:24:00Was called
00:24:02Police say
00:24:04Sanjay Roy
00:24:06When he tried to connect
00:24:08Bluetooth
00:24:10Connected
00:24:12We are talking about Sanjay Roy
00:24:14Who is the main accused
00:24:16He was arrested
00:24:18Within 48 hours
00:24:20On the same day
00:24:23We were shocked
00:24:25How is this possible
00:24:27We were discussing
00:24:29We were sitting there
00:24:31We were in a bad condition
00:24:33It was very hot
00:24:35In Bengal
00:24:37It is either hot or rainy
00:24:39We were in a bad condition
00:24:41We were sitting there
00:24:43Discussing
00:24:45How is that even possible
00:24:47That a person
00:24:49Just casually
00:24:51At 4 pm
00:24:53Who is not even someone
00:24:55Who came from inside the hospital
00:24:57Till we were not caught
00:24:59We thought
00:25:01There must be someone
00:25:03From inside the hospital
00:25:05Then we were told
00:25:07He is a civic volunteer
00:25:09He used to help the police
00:25:11To bring injured people
00:25:13To the hospital
00:25:15You keep coming to the hospital
00:25:17But still
00:25:20A female doctor
00:25:22Went to rest at 4 pm
00:25:26A person
00:25:28Came casually
00:25:30He came
00:25:32Don't know who told him
00:25:34Or how he came to know
00:25:36That there is a female doctor
00:25:38She is resting
00:25:40After that
00:25:42He raped her
00:25:44He murdered her
00:25:46And casually left his Bluetooth
00:25:49No one will believe
00:25:51Even if I tell you
00:25:53You won't believe
00:25:55Too casual of a story
00:25:57At 4 pm
00:25:59The best part is
00:26:01I am very thin
00:26:03If any guy
00:26:05No matter how strong
00:26:07Will try to push me
00:26:09I will resist back
00:26:11To my level best
00:26:13If we can run 10 km
00:26:15If a dog
00:26:18Can run 25 km
00:26:20The hormones that are released
00:26:22We are told
00:26:24That we can fight
00:26:26Even a lion
00:26:28It's not a joke
00:26:30That the girl's pelvic girdle
00:26:32Is broken
00:26:34And the other person
00:26:36Who is thin
00:26:38He is not someone who is very strong
00:26:40He didn't get hurt
00:26:42How is that possible?
00:26:44As soon as we caught him
00:26:47We were discussing
00:26:49We got another information
00:26:51That he was taken to the High Court
00:26:5314 days remand
00:26:55Within an hour
00:26:57He admitted
00:26:59I did all this
00:27:01And hang me
00:27:03Really?
00:27:05Within an hour
00:27:07The matter is sorted
00:27:09And you said hang me
00:27:11I am ready
00:27:13I don't have any problem
00:27:15I don't know what they are trying to do
00:27:17One of their pathologists said
00:27:19Maybe they were trying to
00:27:21Declare him mentally unstable
00:27:23Maybe
00:27:25He might be the culprit
00:27:27Maybe he is a scapegoat
00:27:31Or maybe
00:27:33Just a theory
00:27:35So that the case gets cleared
00:27:37So that the protest doesn't get so big
00:27:39And maybe it was pre-planned
00:27:41No one knows
00:27:44I am from CBI
00:27:46I will not comment
00:27:48There are a lot of speculations
00:27:50Even I will request everyone
00:27:52Not to spread those things
00:27:54Because
00:27:56If any one of them
00:27:58Is innocent
00:28:00It is very wrong
00:28:02Until something is 100%
00:28:04Proved
00:28:06I will request everyone
00:28:08Not to spread these things
00:28:10Don't comment on these things
00:28:13It's work of CBI
00:28:15Let them do their work
00:28:17But guys, before we move on
00:28:19This podcast is on a very sensitive
00:28:21And important topic
00:28:23And it is our responsibility
00:28:25That this case, this movement
00:28:27Should spread
00:28:29People should talk about it
00:28:31And demand a systematic change
00:28:33And that's why I have a small request
00:28:35That you should share this podcast
00:28:37With your friends, family
00:28:39On WhatsApp groups
00:28:42The more we talk about it
00:28:44The more justice we will get
00:28:46And the more pressure will be put
00:28:48On our government
00:28:50To bring a systematic difference
00:28:52So that we can ensure
00:28:54That this never happens in the future
00:28:56So I request all of you
00:28:58To share this podcast with your close ones
00:29:00So that they get to know
00:29:02What is happening
00:29:04And needless to say
00:29:06I discuss such important topics
00:29:08Every week
00:29:11Now it's too much
00:29:13We want CBI
00:29:15Immediately to take over the case
00:29:17And ask the principal
00:29:19To resign
00:29:21It's been 2-3 days
00:29:23Almost 12th
00:29:25They admitted on 12th August
00:29:27Yes, around 11th-12th
00:29:29All this happened
00:29:31Till then, it wasn't on social media
00:29:33Because everyone thought
00:29:35It's just a doctor's thing
00:29:37And no one was talking about it
00:29:39It just started
00:29:41And we started
00:29:43To raise slogans
00:29:45We stopped
00:29:47Non-emergency services
00:29:49OPD services
00:29:51Now patients came in emergency
00:29:53We ourselves are in emergency
00:29:55And we are treating them
00:29:57So ultimately
00:29:59There was no effect on the hospital
00:30:01So it didn't matter
00:30:03To us
00:30:05That they are sitting
00:30:08No one gave us any feelings
00:30:10No one cared
00:30:12Same with RJKR people
00:30:14They were also not feeling anything
00:30:16Just by saying this
00:30:18That they are sending him on remand
00:30:20It's been 5-6 days
00:30:22Since you sent him on remand
00:30:24Till now
00:30:26Why hasn't there been any update?
00:30:28In the last 4-5 days
00:30:30You must have hit him so much
00:30:32You must have said something
00:30:34Who told him?
00:30:37Say something
00:30:39His background
00:30:41Was also wrong
00:30:43That he had 4 marriages
00:30:45If he is such a person
00:30:47Then why was he made
00:30:49A civic volunteer?
00:30:51On Sanjay Rai
00:30:53I had a few things that I found out
00:30:55You also tell me if you know anything more about this
00:30:57Number one, there were a lot of
00:30:59Allegations of corruption
00:31:01That he used to take
00:31:03Extra money from people
00:31:06He used to take commission
00:31:08That I will get you a bed
00:31:10He used to take money from people
00:31:12That there is a nursing home
00:31:14Or if you need a free service
00:31:16Or a discounted service
00:31:18He used to take a bribe
00:31:20In a common hospital
00:31:22I don't think you need any free services
00:31:24Everything is free
00:31:26I think there was a shortage of services
00:31:28Maybe he was taking bribes
00:31:30Again, just what I have read online
00:31:32This is not me accusing
00:31:35And promising that I will get you a job
00:31:37In a hospital or a civic job
00:31:39And what you said
00:31:41That he had 4 marriages
00:31:43He also had a case of domestic violence
00:31:45Which was filed by his wife
00:31:47And despite all this
00:31:49He is also a volunteer in Kolkata Police
00:31:51Exactly, so if someone has such a background
00:31:53Then why was he made a volunteer?
00:31:55And the second thing
00:31:57No matter how much you try
00:31:59Till you are not someone
00:32:01Like till the final year
00:32:03When I was in the final year of medical school
00:32:05Till then I didn't know
00:32:07Every corner of the hospital
00:32:09All I knew was
00:32:11Sometimes professors took classes in the college
00:32:13Or in the seminar room
00:32:15Apart from that, they showed us practicals
00:32:17For example, they took us to the labour room
00:32:19So I knew about the labour room
00:32:21But where do doctors sleep at night?
00:32:23Being a final year medical student
00:32:25I didn't know
00:32:27So someone who is an outsider
00:32:29How can he have so much knowledge?
00:32:32How can he know that no one will come on that floor?
00:32:34Or how can he know
00:32:36That the noise in this room is not as loud as outside?
00:32:40It's next to impossible
00:32:42And now 2 post mortem reports came
00:32:44Who clearly said
00:32:46It's not one person's thing
00:32:48It was a gang rape
00:32:50After this
00:32:52I don't think
00:32:54Our protest was having any effect
00:32:56Suddenly in the evening
00:32:58There is an interview of the principal
00:33:01I consider my daughter like my own daughter
00:33:03And I think it's right to resign
00:33:05We were like
00:33:07It's okay
00:33:09One demand
00:33:11It was fulfilled
00:33:13All these were the demands by RJKR people
00:33:15Someone took accountability
00:33:17So we were like
00:33:19It's okay
00:33:21But we need a CBI inquiry
00:33:25Within 8 hours
00:33:27We came to know
00:33:30Just a few kilometers away
00:33:32The principal of the same equally reputed college
00:33:34Was made again
00:33:36Kolkata National Medical College
00:33:38Yeah
00:33:40I mean
00:33:42Who has so much going on in the hospital
00:33:44And the person resigned himself
00:33:48Why within 8 hours
00:33:50The principal of another medical college
00:33:52Was made again
00:33:54Let this case end
00:33:57At least
00:33:59Whenever there is a case like this
00:34:01Everyone is a suspect
00:34:03Who decides who will be the principal of the college
00:34:05Who was the decision maker
00:34:07Who can make the principal
00:34:09I guess
00:34:11Government has the power over here
00:34:13I am not aware about this
00:34:15You don't know
00:34:17We got angry
00:34:19But
00:34:21Then
00:34:23All the students of Kolkata National Medical College
00:34:25We don't want him
00:34:27And we won't let him in
00:34:29They started protesting
00:34:31When the principal was going to their college
00:34:33They did not let
00:34:35That principal enter
00:34:37In their college
00:34:39Till then
00:34:415 petitions were filed
00:34:43In the High Court
00:34:45About this case
00:34:47One of them was of his parents
00:34:49So there
00:34:51The High Court asked
00:34:54Question 1
00:34:56Why for 3 hours
00:34:58The girl's parents
00:35:00Were not allowed to see her
00:35:04And the advocate of the government
00:35:06Had no answers for the same
00:35:10Number 2 question was
00:35:12Why a principal
00:35:14Who has so much going on in the hospital
00:35:16He resigned himself
00:35:18Despite that
00:35:20Within 8 hours
00:35:23He was made the principal
00:35:25Next question was
00:35:27Why
00:35:29His statement has not been taken yet
00:35:31I mean
00:35:33If something like this happened in your college
00:35:35Atleast I will take your statement
00:35:37Why he has not been interrogated yet
00:35:41So all these things
00:35:43When the court found out
00:35:45On the same day
00:35:47Around 14th
00:35:4913th or 14th
00:35:52CBI shifted the case
00:35:56CBI the next day
00:35:58Came in the morning
00:36:00And took the handover
00:36:02This is about 14th morning
00:36:04Around that
00:36:06This is the same day
00:36:08When at night
00:36:10Now we know
00:36:12Around 13th
00:36:14Before this
00:36:16Something else happened
00:36:19At night
00:36:21Around evening
00:36:23Outsiders heard some noise
00:36:25From inside
00:36:27So people ran there
00:36:29What is happening
00:36:31They saw
00:36:33The side washroom or room
00:36:35Was being demolished
00:36:37When asked
00:36:39They said
00:36:41There are not enough facilities
00:36:43For doctors
00:36:45That's why renovation was going on
00:36:47The crime site
00:36:49Police must have been there
00:36:51How can you renovate
00:36:53The side washroom
00:36:55In the name of renovation
00:36:57This is not at all acceptable
00:36:59How come is that possible
00:37:01The tampering of crime scene
00:37:03Exactly
00:37:05They said
00:37:07They didn't know
00:37:09Maybe there is something
00:37:11In the side washroom
00:37:13Maybe something is left
00:37:16God knows what is going on
00:37:18But
00:37:20Everyone is understanding
00:37:22Someone is educated or not
00:37:24Someone with common sense
00:37:26Is able to see
00:37:28Something is going on
00:37:30Something is being hidden
00:37:32Which was not supposed to be
00:37:34So after that
00:37:36CBI took the case
00:37:382-3 days ago
00:37:40Everyone is protesting
00:37:42At night around 11
00:37:45Medical college girls
00:37:47Women
00:37:49Not just doctors
00:37:51Now
00:37:53Even normal citizens
00:37:55Understood that
00:37:57It's not a matter of doctors
00:37:59It's about a woman
00:38:01Who was at her workplace
00:38:03At home
00:38:05And doing this
00:38:07Inside the house
00:38:09Everyone started raising voice
00:38:11That night
00:38:14There was going to be a peaceful candle march
00:38:16At that time
00:38:18Many people started coming
00:38:20Were you over there?
00:38:22No
00:38:24Our college is 2-3 hours away
00:38:26We are doing candle march at our place
00:38:28Everyday
00:38:30From morning to evening
00:38:32It's not like
00:38:34We have to spread awareness at that place
00:38:36We want it everywhere
00:38:38As much as we can
00:38:40We are doing it there
00:38:43Everywhere
00:38:45In every college
00:38:47Everyone was protesting
00:38:49And we stopped emergency services
00:38:51It's not like
00:38:53Patients are dying
00:38:55Our seniors, professors
00:38:57Are still seeing patients
00:38:59They are doing work of an intern
00:39:01And those people
00:39:0355-56 years old
00:39:05Are telling us that we can do this
00:39:07You go and bring justice
00:39:09Something is going on
00:39:11Even senior people are understanding
00:39:13That they are ready to support us
00:39:15That day
00:39:17Candle march was about to start
00:39:19Many people started coming
00:39:21There were barricades
00:39:23They said
00:39:25If there is one barricade
00:39:27One police officer is standing
00:39:29In front of him
00:39:31There are 50 people
00:39:33They also said
00:39:35In the morning
00:39:37There were more police
00:39:40It was pre-planned
00:39:42I don't know
00:39:44Some people are saying
00:39:46Data is 3000
00:39:48Some are saying 4000
00:39:50In high court, it was said
00:39:527000 people came
00:39:54Even I heard
00:39:567000 people
00:39:58They came
00:40:00And the pathologists
00:40:02They told
00:40:04They have an interview
00:40:06They said
00:40:09We say ground floor
00:40:111st floor, 2nd floor
00:40:13In Bengali, it is
00:40:15Ek tala, do tala, teen tala
00:40:17Ground floor is ek tala
00:40:191st floor is do tala
00:40:212nd floor is teen tala
00:40:233rd floor is chaar tala
00:40:25It starts from 1
00:40:271st floor also starts from 1
00:40:29Maybe
00:40:31The person who sent them
00:40:33I am not sure about this
00:40:35But the pathologist said
00:40:38Maybe they were told
00:40:40In Bengali
00:40:42Or in English
00:40:44That they have to go to 3rd floor
00:40:46They must have been confused
00:40:48Because in Bengali, 2nd floor is teen tala
00:40:50So
00:40:52They ruined the entire 2nd floor
00:40:56No one went to 3rd floor
00:41:00Now that confusion happened
00:41:02I don't know
00:41:04Something I did not know
00:41:07There was a mob
00:41:09They came
00:41:11They entered the hospital
00:41:13And destroyed the entire 2nd floor
00:41:15While the actual crime scene
00:41:17That was 3rd floor
00:41:21According to that pathologist
00:41:23Maybe because of this miscommunication
00:41:25Maybe there was a misunderstanding
00:41:29Because of this language
00:41:31So everyone went directly to 2nd floor
00:41:33Some people are entering girls hostel
00:41:35Some people are here and there
00:41:37There are 7000 people
00:41:39They will not go directly
00:41:41The main target was not ground floor
00:41:431st floor, 3rd floor
00:41:45Only 2nd floor
00:41:47They started destroying everything
00:41:49The march was about to start at 11
00:41:51So many people came
00:41:53Now there is no police
00:41:55Literally the doctors
00:41:57Juniors, seniors
00:41:59Boys were like
00:42:02This is something
00:42:04Which is not safe
00:42:06Something bad is going to happen
00:42:08Doctors fought for themselves
00:42:10So many doctors were injured
00:42:12They are saying that
00:42:14Police was not even fighting back
00:42:16This is what they are saying
00:42:18Police was not even fighting back
00:42:20That night
00:42:22Around 11-12
00:42:24On groups
00:42:26All the students of RGKR
00:42:28Please save us
00:42:31It's a mob attack
00:42:33We will die
00:42:35Please save us
00:42:37One of them
00:42:39We spoke to him
00:42:41He said I called police 12 times
00:42:43No one picked up
00:42:45After that
00:42:47We left it
00:42:49No one will come from there
00:42:51We were sitting in our room
00:42:53With lights off
00:42:55They destroyed everything
00:42:57People are getting down in trucks
00:43:00I guess all of you have seen those videos
00:43:02Where people are getting down in trucks
00:43:04I don't know
00:43:06They are saying
00:43:08They came because we stopped emergency services
00:43:12If those 7000 people
00:43:14Would have come in our support
00:43:16We would have taken a decision within a day
00:43:18Come and see
00:43:22I am saying this from the first day
00:43:24Our fight
00:43:26Is not with common citizens
00:43:29We don't want
00:43:31Our patients to suffer
00:43:35My MBBS got over recently
00:43:37I have read so many books
00:43:39I want to apply all those things
00:43:41Practically now
00:43:43I am romanticizing my life
00:43:45To be honest
00:43:47Be it long duties
00:43:49Or not sleeping at night
00:43:51Everything
00:43:53Either I fall in love with something
00:43:55Or do something I like
00:43:57I don't have any option
00:43:59If I have to work for 36 hours
00:44:01I have to do it
00:44:03I am sick
00:44:05We don't get any leave
00:44:07Then
00:44:09Such a situation
00:44:11So many people
00:44:13They have to say
00:44:15That you stopped emergency services
00:44:17But still
00:44:19Our professors and seniors are watching
00:44:23I can give you 5 crores
00:44:26You can give me 7000 people
00:44:28You have money
00:44:30But you don't have contacts
00:44:34Is it someone
00:44:36Someone powerful
00:44:38Who do have money as well
00:44:40And power as well
00:44:42They did this
00:44:44Even if I agree
00:44:46That the person
00:44:48Who is a scapegoat
00:44:50Or a culprit
00:44:52What will be his salary?
00:44:55For him
00:44:577000 people are coming
00:44:59I don't think
00:45:01In India
00:45:03A person who has a salary of 10-12k
00:45:05Is even cared for
00:45:07He is dying everyday
00:45:09I guess
00:45:1190 rapes are registered everyday
00:45:13Everyday?
00:45:15I am not 100% sure
00:45:17But it is around
00:45:19And some are not registered
00:45:21Do they come out of the case?
00:45:24No
00:45:26I don't think
00:45:28For a person who has a salary of 12-15k
00:45:30So many people will come
00:45:32All these things
00:45:34Prove that
00:45:36This is something very fishy
00:45:38Who is behind this
00:45:40What is it
00:45:42I don't know
00:45:44Half of the people
00:45:46Are giving interviews
00:45:48The principal
00:45:50Even he is involved
00:45:53In the medical college
00:45:55Where I work
00:45:57Our principal is so good
00:45:59She is very good
00:46:01Ever since she came
00:46:03She has taken a lot of steps
00:46:05Even in ragging
00:46:07She has taken strict actions
00:46:09Even my dad
00:46:11Is a government school principal
00:46:13I can never imagine
00:46:15A principal doing this
00:46:17Because they are our idols
00:46:19We look
00:46:21Up to them
00:46:23These people are our motivation
00:46:25They are doing so good
00:46:27They are managing everything so well
00:46:29I am saying this again and again
00:46:31If they are not involved
00:46:33In this
00:46:35Then they are doing wrong
00:46:37And Dr. Sandeep Ghosh
00:46:39Who is the principal of the college
00:46:41He is also being accused
00:46:43Number one and the biggest
00:46:45We are hearing
00:46:47That he is a politically connected person
00:46:50He has connections with TMC
00:46:52Which is the state government
00:46:54In West Bengal
00:46:56Secondly, he has been transferred twice
00:46:58From the very same college
00:47:00And he reversed the transfer order
00:47:02Sometimes in a day
00:47:04Sometimes in a month
00:47:06The new principal
00:47:08After his transfer
00:47:10Dr. Sandeep
00:47:12Told the students to lock the room
00:47:14And he didn't even let the new principal
00:47:16Come to the office
00:47:19He also has a lot of corruption allegations
00:47:21Like
00:47:23He used to take a 20% commission
00:47:25On every tender or everything
00:47:27Which was happening in the hospital
00:47:29His 20% commission was fixed
00:47:31He used to provide alcohol to the students
00:47:33In the college
00:47:35One of his previous professors
00:47:37Has put an allegation that
00:47:39He has a mafia in the college
00:47:41He has his own security personnel
00:47:43I also saw that interview
00:47:45But to be honest
00:47:48It is also being said
00:47:50That he used to take money
00:47:52To complete his thesis
00:47:54In the hostel
00:47:56If something like that is happening
00:47:58Then why
00:48:00All the students
00:48:02Of R.G.Kar Medical College
00:48:04Are not coming forward and telling this
00:48:06I am not getting it
00:48:08Probably because
00:48:10They also have that pressure
00:48:12That I am a student
00:48:14If I mess with such powerful people
00:48:17One thing I like about West Bengal
00:48:19Is that
00:48:21Ambulance service is very good
00:48:23Absolutely free
00:48:25And they bring people
00:48:27From hundreds of kilometers
00:48:29For free
00:48:31So I don't know
00:48:33Who should be held responsible for this
00:48:35I will tell you one more interesting thing
00:48:37There was a spokesperson of TMC
00:48:39Shantanu Sen
00:48:41He gave a statement against Sandeep Ghosh
00:48:43That R.G.Kar Hospital
00:48:45I think Shantanu Sen
00:48:47His own daughter used to study in that hospital
00:48:49And he spoke up against
00:48:51Shantanu, sorry, he spoke up against
00:48:53Dr. Sandeep Ghosh
00:48:55And TMC after his statement
00:48:57Removed him from the position of National Spokesperson
00:48:59When his spokesperson
00:49:01Spoke against Sandeep Ghosh and R.G.Kar Hospital
00:49:03So that also sort of
00:49:05Boiled this whole allegation
00:49:07That he is politically
00:49:09Connected to TMC
00:49:11And again, this still doesn't explain
00:49:14Why so many people came
00:49:16To cover up
00:49:18I think there is still something fishy
00:49:20That we don't know
00:49:22There is a long connection
00:49:24Or there was a big scandal
00:49:26That we don't know
00:49:28What does your gut say?
00:49:30Do you have any information
00:49:32That why is this case so politically connected?
00:49:34See, I guess
00:49:36At this point of time
00:49:38Everyone has the information
00:49:40But again, as I said in the beginning
00:49:43I do not want to comment on that
00:49:45Until and unless I am not very sure
00:49:47About the same
00:49:49But this much I can tell
00:49:51Being like
00:49:53Someone who has a little bit of brain
00:49:55That something very
00:49:57Fishy is there
00:49:59Now if he has a political connection
00:50:01Is it because of that
00:50:03Who is it because of
00:50:05I do not know
00:50:07But if something like this is happening
00:50:09Then we are hoping
00:50:12CBI will bring something
00:50:14In front
00:50:16Now we are satisfied
00:50:18That at least CBI is working on the same
00:50:20And recently
00:50:22I have heard
00:50:24CBI said
00:50:26That person
00:50:28He came around 11 pm
00:50:30And then he went back
00:50:32Then he again
00:50:34Came around 4 am
00:50:36In the morning
00:50:38Waited for 35 minutes
00:50:41So in 35 minutes
00:50:43Rape, murder
00:50:45Everything he did
00:50:47Practically not at all possible
00:50:49CCTV camera
00:50:51Post-mortem reports
00:50:53Everything is clear
00:50:55That
00:50:57That person
00:50:59He is the culprit
00:51:01But only that person cannot do it
00:51:03There must be someone
00:51:05Who told him
00:51:07Who might be more involved
00:51:09There are a lot of speculations
00:51:11But
00:51:13CBI is working on it
00:51:15If I ask you something
00:51:17A little off topic
00:51:19What we keep hearing is
00:51:21That female employees
00:51:23Of every level
00:51:25They have to face some form of sexual harassment
00:51:27Or exploitation
00:51:29And after reading
00:51:31In the past few days
00:51:33A natural curiosity came to my mind
00:51:35Is it the same in hospitals and medical field
00:51:38That female doctors have to face
00:51:40Casual sexism or sexual harassment
00:51:42In their everyday life
00:51:44Can you tell me anything around that
00:51:46See
00:51:48It has never happened to me
00:51:50But
00:51:52I have heard from my seniors
00:51:54That it happens
00:51:56And these cases have come up
00:51:58In our college
00:52:00It has never happened
00:52:02Our college is very good
00:52:04But in other colleges
00:52:07They have to submit a thesis
00:52:09Until their thesis is approved
00:52:11They cannot sit in university exams
00:52:15They will not be allowed to pass out
00:52:17They cannot go out
00:52:19And become a doctor
00:52:21They say
00:52:23There are a lot of allegations
00:52:25That some professors
00:52:27Or some seniors
00:52:29Talk about
00:52:31These things
00:52:33That it happens
00:52:36So it is definitely there
00:52:38200%
00:52:40Even females
00:52:42In this
00:52:44Medical fraternity
00:52:46These things happen here
00:52:48Right now
00:52:50It is fine in this direction
00:52:52But anyways
00:52:54There is a lot of mental pressure
00:52:56On us
00:52:58If we try to protest
00:53:00About anything
00:53:02We feel scared
00:53:05Because
00:53:07Our exams
00:53:09It is not like
00:53:11One exam
00:53:13Our passing percentage is 50%
00:53:15The top student
00:53:17Who studies a lot
00:53:19That is for 75 marks
00:53:21And the last student
00:53:23The last student
00:53:25Is 50
00:53:27There is a window of 25 marks
00:53:29In which the entire class is there
00:53:31If you are less than 50%
00:53:33In that also
00:53:35For example, medicine paper
00:53:37Medicine paper 1, medicine paper 2
00:53:39And then viva
00:53:41Individually
00:53:43I have to bring 50%
00:53:45If I am less than 50 in viva
00:53:47I will fail
00:53:49If in paper 1
00:53:51Paper 1 and paper 2
00:53:53It should be 50%
00:53:55Individually
00:53:57At least in one paper
00:53:59Minimum can be 40
00:54:02But if it is 39 in one, I will fail
00:54:04That's how we pass
00:54:06And vivas
00:54:08For example, medicine viva
00:54:10It is like
00:54:12We gave a chit
00:54:14It will be a bed number chit
00:54:16We will go to that patient
00:54:18We don't know what happened to that patient
00:54:20We will cross question, we will ask
00:54:22We will come to a provisional diagnosis
00:54:24After that, viva goes on for an hour
00:54:26So now
00:54:28Medical thing is so vast
00:54:31It is not practically possible
00:54:33For anyone
00:54:35Because we don't have just medicine
00:54:37We have surgery, pediatrics
00:54:39These are final year subjects
00:54:41So
00:54:43It is completely in a teacher's hand
00:54:45They should start that viva
00:54:47From where we don't have knowledge
00:54:49No matter how much I try
00:54:51I don't know
00:54:53Rare conditions
00:54:55No matter how much I try
00:54:57I am also a student
00:55:00Gradually
00:55:02We will have more knowledge
00:55:04But
00:55:06It is completely in the hand of a teacher
00:55:08Whether he wants to pass or not
00:55:10That's why
00:55:12We raise our voice
00:55:14People from RJKAR also said
00:55:16When they started raising their voice
00:55:18They were told to shut up
00:55:20Or else we will give mass supplies
00:55:22We will fill the entire batch
00:55:24We get scared
00:55:26We don't want to be highlighted
00:55:29So I guess
00:55:31Like
00:55:33There is a lot of toxicity in medical field
00:55:35It's high time
00:55:37Some actions should be taken
00:55:39So many hours of duties
00:55:41For example, like
00:55:43Recently
00:55:451-1.5 months ago
00:55:47I was in Gainika postings
00:55:49And there
00:55:51We are sitting in the triage room
00:55:53As soon as the patient comes
00:55:55At night, we admit all the patients
00:55:57Whether the patient is stable or not
00:55:59Because his house is far
00:56:01If he is stable, we discharge him
00:56:03Around 8-9 am
00:56:05But we admit him
00:56:07In the triage room
00:56:09We keep the patient for 5 minutes
00:56:11We decide
00:56:13Which ward to shift the patient
00:56:15Antenatal ward
00:56:17SGW
00:56:19Which ward to shift
00:56:21That day
00:56:23We were sitting in the labour room
00:56:26Some colleagues come
00:56:28They ask us to hide
00:56:30The patient party has become aggressive
00:56:32What happened to which doctor
00:56:34God knows
00:56:36Hide quickly
00:56:38Stop it
00:56:40Stand up
00:56:42One patient was asked to sit outside
00:56:44We hid
00:56:46The first thing
00:56:48That came to our mind
00:56:50That was not to call the police
00:56:52That was to call our batchmates
00:56:55Because the police will come after 5 hours
00:56:57When we might have been beaten
00:56:59When we might have been injured
00:57:01Then the police will come
00:57:03Our batchmates came
00:57:0520-25 boys ran away from the hostel
00:57:07Then they were caught
00:57:09Then they were released
00:57:11So right now
00:57:13Many people are asking
00:57:15You have started protesting
00:57:17CBI might have
00:57:19So much evidence
00:57:21When will you stop protesting?
00:57:24So much
00:57:26CBI might take a lot of time
00:57:28In the beginning
00:57:30We wanted to know
00:57:32Who are the culprits
00:57:34What punishment are you going to give them
00:57:36Only then we will stop
00:57:38But right now
00:57:40I don't think this case will be solved so soon
00:57:42So what we want
00:57:44Right now is
00:57:46At least
00:57:48I don't think
00:57:50This sister
00:57:53Will we get justice or not
00:57:55I am not sure
00:57:57I still have faith
00:57:59I strongly believe
00:58:01That there are still many good people in India
00:58:03But
00:58:05I am not sure
00:58:07Will there be justice or not
00:58:09But we want something
00:58:11Called as Central Protection Act
00:58:13Which was presented in the Parliament
00:58:15In 2022
00:58:17There was a discussion
00:58:19But it was not passed
00:58:21Central Protection Act says
00:58:23If any medical student
00:58:25Nursing student
00:58:27Nurse, doctors
00:58:29I guess nutritionists are also included
00:58:31Dentists
00:58:33If anyone beats them
00:58:35Or anything like that
00:58:37If it is too much
00:58:39They will be punished for 3-10 years
00:58:41And
00:58:43They will be fined from 2 lakhs to 10 lakhs
00:58:45Second thing
00:58:47No normal police officer
00:58:50Will investigate this
00:58:52I guess an officer
00:58:54At least DSP level
00:58:56That person will investigate
00:58:58About all this
00:59:00And if patient party
00:59:02Damages our property
00:59:04At that time
00:59:06The market value of that property
00:59:082 times
00:59:10We will have to pay them
00:59:14After this
00:59:16There will be a fear
00:59:19I will give you an example
00:59:21You are walking
00:59:23You are someone
00:59:25Who gets angry easily
00:59:27I hit you from behind
00:59:29You will scold me
00:59:31Are you mad?
00:59:33But if a police officer
00:59:35Will come
00:59:37You will be quiet
00:59:39Sometimes
00:59:41I forgot to take my license
00:59:43Or I forgot to wear my helmet
00:59:45Police officer caught me
00:59:48He is going without license
00:59:50Without helmet
00:59:52But I don't cross question
00:59:54My father always tells me
00:59:56Don't mess with police officers
00:59:58Why?
01:00:00Because they have laws
01:00:02If an on duty judge
01:00:04Or police officer
01:00:06Is slapped
01:00:08They have laws
01:00:10Even we are front line workers
01:00:12How many times
01:00:14In every 15 days
01:00:17Recently
01:00:19A surgery intern
01:00:21We have some wards
01:00:23Where criminal patients are admitted
01:00:25Police was there
01:00:27But a patient stabbed a doctor
01:00:29She died
01:00:31Because there are no laws
01:00:33I am not saying
01:00:35That no doctor can be wrong
01:00:37It can be 100%
01:00:39But there is judiciary
01:00:41Go there
01:00:43Complain
01:00:45We are not denying
01:00:47But slapping
01:00:49Mob attacks
01:00:51This is too much
01:00:53There is robbery in a bank
01:00:55They have a button
01:00:57They press it
01:00:59Police comes in 10 minutes
01:01:01Why can't we have all that?
01:01:03One of my colleagues
01:01:05He was telling
01:01:07When he was doing his internship
01:01:09At that time
01:01:11He delivered a baby
01:01:14He came out and told his father
01:01:16It's a baby girl
01:01:18They went off
01:01:20When mother came out
01:01:22He started beating her
01:01:24When they resisted
01:01:26Why are you doing the same?
01:01:28He started beating her
01:01:32His family members
01:01:34He started beating them too
01:01:38The security guard
01:01:40When he told them
01:01:43He got angry
01:01:45He must have been waiting for a long time
01:01:47A female is not
01:01:49Responsible
01:01:51For the sex
01:01:53Of the child
01:01:55Fathers decide it
01:01:57Female is not
01:01:59The one
01:02:01Who decides the gender
01:02:03But still
01:02:05Think about it
01:02:07What is the doctor's fault?
01:02:09What is the fault of the female?
01:02:12But do we have protection?
01:02:14No we don't
01:02:16Every time
01:02:18We used to hit
01:02:20We used to post stories on Instagram
01:02:22But this time
01:02:24This was something
01:02:26They are hitting me
01:02:28This is unacceptable
01:02:30In the beginning
01:02:32People didn't understand
01:02:34I didn't like it
01:02:36Many doctors
01:02:38Told us not to ask for free consultation
01:02:41You cannot force anyone
01:02:43But
01:02:45It's a request from my side
01:02:47It's not doctor's issue anymore
01:02:49It's about a woman
01:02:51Who quietly
01:02:53Was she wearing small clothes?
01:02:55No. Was she drunk? No.
01:02:57Was she asking for it? No.
01:02:59She was just working
01:03:01Saving others
01:03:03But risking her own life
01:03:05This is too much
01:03:07It happened in a hospital
01:03:09It can happen in your workplace
01:03:11It's time
01:03:13For the whole of India
01:03:15This should be a national issue
01:03:17It's high time
01:03:19This time
01:03:21The advocate in Nirbhaya case
01:03:23I saw her interview
01:03:25She said
01:03:27I agree that
01:03:29Girls are going wrong
01:03:31Sometimes there are fake cases
01:03:33But if
01:03:35A case is 100% proved
01:03:38She also said
01:03:40We need to present an example
01:03:42100%
01:03:44That someone
01:03:46Should be shot on the road
01:03:48I guess
01:03:50I saw
01:03:52Other countries
01:03:54Where people are hanged within 7 days
01:03:56Some countries
01:03:58Shoot in the middle of the road
01:04:00We need to present an example
01:04:02Otherwise
01:04:04I don't think this is going to stop
01:04:07Two days ago
01:04:0933 year old nurse
01:04:11She was raped and murdered
01:04:13Is that Uttarakhand case?
01:04:15Yeah
01:04:17So I mean
01:04:19This is too much
01:04:21Sometimes when I hear
01:04:23I just feel
01:04:25In our society
01:04:27Rape has become so normalized
01:04:29Now people have become desensitized
01:04:31To the news
01:04:33Like you said
01:04:36Someone got raped
01:04:38Everyone will feel bad
01:04:40But rape has become so normalized
01:04:42You said
01:04:4490 registered rape cases
01:04:46Every hour
01:04:48In a way
01:04:503-4 rapes are happening
01:04:52By the time we have had this conversation
01:04:54In India
01:04:564 girls have been raped on record
01:04:58This is on record
01:05:00Forget off record
01:05:02Ask your sister
01:05:05Sometime in life
01:05:07Something happened
01:05:09When I came to college
01:05:11Before college
01:05:13I never had any kind of
01:05:15Sexual conversation
01:05:17Talking about things
01:05:19Around sex
01:05:21I was very surprised
01:05:23When many of my female friends
01:05:25This is something I realized
01:05:27Over years
01:05:29I came to realize
01:05:319 out of 10
01:05:33Had gone through
01:05:35Some form of sexual harassment
01:05:37When they were minors
01:05:39And when they became adults
01:05:41I will tell you one more interesting insight
01:05:43There was this activist and a psychologist
01:05:45Who had interviewed
01:05:47Many serial rapists
01:05:49When they were in jail
01:05:51She figured out
01:05:53All these serial rapists
01:05:55Their primary motive for raping
01:05:57Was not a sexual urge
01:05:59They were not primarily doing it
01:06:02The primary motive of the serial rapist
01:06:04Was to show their patriarchal dominance
01:06:06They had a feeling
01:06:08That I will teach this girl a lesson
01:06:10This girl is doing something wrong
01:06:12And my goal is to teach her a lesson
01:06:14And teaching her a lesson is right
01:06:16And their way of teaching a lesson
01:06:18Was raping that girl
01:06:20This was a very interesting insight
01:06:22On a superficial level
01:06:24We feel that a rapist is raping
01:06:26Because he is getting a sexual urge
01:06:28That is also definitely there
01:06:31The analysis from a serial rapist
01:06:33Was that they are showing their patriarchal dominance
01:06:35Which again is a societal problem
01:06:37In a lot of ways
01:06:39Maybe even in this case
01:06:41Something like that was there
01:06:43Because even their car
01:06:45Was destroyed
01:06:47Okay
01:06:49Yes, their car
01:06:51One day before or one day after
01:06:53I am not aware about that
01:06:55But their entire car
01:06:57Was destroyed
01:07:00I don't know
01:07:02What is it or what is not
01:07:04But something like that was there
01:07:06And it's been like almost 7-8 days
01:07:08I didn't feel much
01:07:10From these things
01:07:12My mom always used to tell
01:07:14For example, I have to go somewhere late night
01:07:16Sometimes it happens that
01:07:18My mom is calling again and again
01:07:20And I am not picking up
01:07:22I was telling my mom
01:07:24That I feel like I have become a father
01:07:26And I am the child of the father
01:07:29I am behaving like my father these days
01:07:31And I have a question
01:07:33Which I have asked to a lot of people
01:07:35A lot of boys
01:07:37One thing I completely agree
01:07:39Is all men are not same
01:07:41But
01:07:43I am literally sorry
01:07:45It's your podcast but I have this question
01:07:47No, please go on
01:07:49We get so many cases
01:07:51Where even boyfriend is doing
01:07:53Even family members are doing
01:07:55Even fathers
01:07:57How will we girls know
01:07:59That yes, this man
01:08:01Is like the right person
01:08:03On this boy
01:08:05Yes, we believe, we agree
01:08:07All men are not same
01:08:09But how will we know
01:08:11Now every case has come
01:08:13Sometimes it happens
01:08:15I teach UG students
01:08:17So I recorded a class
01:08:19Because next day morning
01:08:21I take class from 6.30 to 7.30
01:08:23Now when I have night duties
01:08:26Of course I am in duty
01:08:28So I pre-record that day's class
01:08:30So that there is no loss of students
01:08:32So I pre-recorded
01:08:34When I opened the class at 9.30
01:08:36There was no audio
01:08:38We were like
01:08:40Students will face loss tomorrow
01:08:42They won't be able to go to class
01:08:44So at 3.30
01:08:46I am near the hospital
01:08:48Then I asked my senior
01:08:50That if possible
01:08:52My co-intern will manage
01:08:55So I took my co-intern
01:08:57With me and I felt very safe
01:08:59Around 3 am
01:09:01I am going to road
01:09:03But I felt very safe
01:09:05But after this incident
01:09:07This is a long story
01:09:09In fact
01:09:11If I am sitting with my co-intern
01:09:13Who is a male
01:09:15Will I be able to feel safe
01:09:17I have this question
01:09:19To everyone
01:09:21Who is watching this
01:09:24If anyone has the answer
01:09:26Please do answer in the comment section
01:09:28I think this is a very
01:09:30Interesting food for thought
01:09:32For all the men out there
01:09:34I completely understand what you are saying
01:09:36I also understand what all the men say
01:09:38That not all men are the same
01:09:40But I think the burden is on us men
01:09:42What can we do
01:09:44To make the girls
01:09:46Feel that assurity
01:09:48That all men are not the same
01:09:50But how do we make them feel assured
01:09:53You don't suspect every man
01:09:55It's not about 100 men
01:09:57It's about 100 men
01:09:59If any one of them
01:10:01Is a bad fruit
01:10:03My whole life will be ruined
01:10:05It's an amazing food for thought
01:10:07For all the good men out there
01:10:09Who will not do this
01:10:11Who don't believe in this
01:10:13But it's an interesting question for them
01:10:15I am also thinking
01:10:17What can I do as a good man
01:10:19To make any girl feel reassured
01:10:21That I won't do this
01:10:23Even if I don't do anything
01:10:25Even if I don't do anything bad
01:10:27But in a girl
01:10:29Even 0.01% will be scared
01:10:31That I don't know what will happen
01:10:33How do I give that sense of reassurance
01:10:35And if in life
01:10:37The boy I am meeting
01:10:39Suspects everyone
01:10:41It is too much to take
01:10:43So either the boy should stop
01:10:45Talking to the girls
01:10:47Which is not at all possible
01:10:49I don't think it can go in the right direction
01:10:51So now it's high time
01:10:53We should think about these things
01:10:55Maybe
01:10:57We are not that smart enough
01:10:59Or mature
01:11:01I don't know what
01:11:03Maybe
01:11:05Someone should click
01:11:07I want them to tell
01:11:09Definitely guys
01:11:11If you have any insights on this
01:11:13If you want to counter
01:11:15Let's have a healthy discussion
01:11:17Not blame anyone
01:11:19Or take any
01:11:23But once again, thank you so much Dr. Rakshita
01:11:25Not for coming on this podcast
01:11:27Obviously for that also
01:11:29But I am thanking you
01:11:31Because I have seen you since day one
01:11:33I follow you on social media
01:11:35We have known each other for 1-2 years
01:11:37So I have been following you
01:11:39I had sent you a DM long back
01:11:41That I wish you were in Delhi
01:11:43So that we could have a discussion
01:11:45You were not even popular
01:11:47So thank you on behalf of everyone
01:11:49For all the actions you have been taking
01:11:51For all the impact you have been making
01:11:53And for all the voices that you have been raising
01:11:55Thank you so much for the same
01:11:57And second thing
01:11:59Even I want to thank you
01:12:01Because a lot of people
01:12:03Are still not understanding
01:12:05That it's not just about doctors
01:12:07It's a national issue
01:12:09And you literally
01:12:11Came to me
01:12:13And asked me how to talk about it
01:12:15And you asked me for the same
01:12:17And I am so thankful that my voice
01:12:19Is reaching more people
01:12:21Non-medical people
01:12:23Who have nothing to do with this case
01:12:25And a lot of people
01:12:27Ask me what we can do
01:12:29See, we are protesting
01:12:31We are in the same state
01:12:33We are sitting whole day
01:12:35We doctors are so small in number
01:12:37That if we don't stop emergency services
01:12:39Non-emergency services
01:12:41No one will listen to us
01:12:43And no one is going to listen to us
01:12:45Every time
01:12:47We feel bad
01:12:49We protest
01:12:51No one listens to us
01:12:53But now it's high time
01:12:55That this time
01:12:57Even we are in pain
01:12:59But still
01:13:01We have to be bold
01:13:03And make a decision
01:13:05That till the time
01:13:07At least
01:13:09They are not able to give 100%
01:13:1110% or 15%
01:13:13I will trust the rest
01:13:15Or you will give 85%
01:13:17At least give 15%
01:13:19In this case
01:13:21Things are getting confusing
01:13:23Everything is getting messy
01:13:25So
01:13:27We won't get up till
01:13:29We get some positive
01:13:31And at least
01:13:33Central protection act
01:13:35Should be implemented
01:13:37So that it doesn't happen
01:13:39With any doctor
01:13:41What can people do?
01:13:43We are protesting
01:13:45If you can
01:13:47That would be great
01:13:49But many people's parents
01:13:51Society doesn't allow
01:13:53Now we have understood
01:13:55How powerful is social media
01:13:57Only this
01:13:59If we wouldn't have raised this
01:14:01It would have been suppressed
01:14:03If media wouldn't have raised it
01:14:05This has reached
01:14:07Times Square
01:14:09Now
01:14:11Even in Pakistan
01:14:13They are commenting
01:14:15We want
01:14:17International authorities
01:14:19To interfere in this case
01:14:21It's coming from social media
01:14:23Doesn't matter you have 50 followers
01:14:25Doesn't matter you have 100 followers
01:14:27Share these videos
01:14:29As much as possible
01:14:31It should not be like
01:14:33Because everyone is talking about it
01:14:35I shouldn't feel awkward
01:14:37I am not speaking about women
01:14:39I will just put a story
01:14:41So that everyone feels
01:14:43Even this person is talking
01:14:45If you actually feel it
01:14:47It can be your sister
01:14:49It can be your daughter
01:14:51It can be your mother
01:14:53If you actually feel
01:14:55It was wrong
01:14:57At least till we don't get justice
01:14:59You live your life
01:15:01Otherwise
01:15:03In every case
01:15:05We are angry
01:15:07That's why
01:15:09We are not stopping
01:15:11One more request
01:15:13Their photos, pictures
01:15:15Their name
01:15:17Their intention is not wrong
01:15:19But they are posting their photos and pictures
01:15:21Please do not do that
01:15:23It's a crime
01:15:25You can't show pictures
01:15:27Even the case of Nirbhaya
01:15:29That was not her real name
01:15:31Maybe her name was something else
01:15:33And that name was kept
01:15:35That's why
01:15:37Please do not do this
01:15:39I don't know
01:15:41Which turn this case is going to take
01:15:43Right now I feel
01:15:45This case is like
01:15:47Those South Indian movies
01:15:49On which we feel senseless
01:15:51No one is above or below
01:15:53That's the turn
01:15:55Who is behind this
01:15:57Who is trying to save someone
01:15:59Who is it?
01:16:01I don't know
01:16:03But this time
01:16:05We have to take some action
01:16:07Because this time
01:16:09It has come inside our house
01:16:11My workplace is my second home
01:16:13I feel safe
01:16:15My father does feel safe
01:16:17All the girls here
01:16:19Their fathers want an answer
01:16:21Are we safe?
01:16:23Are we actually safe?
01:16:25Even we are humans
01:16:27This is unacceptable
01:16:29So it's high time
01:16:31An example should be presented
01:16:33That if you did this
01:16:35This will happen
01:16:37So that people get a little scared
01:16:39Now it's high time
01:16:41Some decisions should be taken
01:16:43I am a very optimistic person
01:16:45I still hope something will happen
01:16:47Some positive news will come
01:16:49And we will keep fighting for that
01:16:51I am a very realistic person
01:16:53Till the time we don't
01:16:55Keep this movement continued
01:16:57Nothing will happen
01:16:59Because this is what the powerful people want
01:17:01Till the time the movement is going on
01:17:03Till the time people's attention is lost
01:17:05Then we will deal with it
01:17:07So I won't solely rely on my optimism
01:17:09I would request you to be realistic over here
01:17:11Practical over here
01:17:13As Dr. Rakshita said
01:17:15If you can make content around it
01:17:17If you can spread the news, do it
01:17:19If you can't do it yourself
01:17:21You can do it on your social media
01:17:23On your whatsapp groups
01:17:25If you don't want me to share a podcast
01:17:27Then share a news article
01:17:29It's important that people keep talking about it
01:17:31Not only among themselves
01:17:33But also online
01:17:35And once again, thank you so much Rakshita
01:17:37For all the efforts you have been putting
01:17:39More thanks for coming on this podcast
01:17:41I know you have a very hectic schedule
01:17:43With all the voices you are raising
01:17:45And I really hope that
01:17:47This podcast is also able to make a dent
01:17:49And people are getting more aware
01:17:51About what is happening and what we can do
01:17:53And again, there are so many things which are going to unfold
01:17:55We still don't know what exactly happened
01:17:57Who is doing what
01:17:59And let's just hope
01:18:01And let's work towards it
01:18:03That this thing comes out
01:18:05Thank you so much Rakshita
01:18:07And thank you so much guys, take care, bye-bye
