00:004-0 preseason. Everyone's on the Bears. Look, I don't know if I'm going to go... I'm kind
00:09of in the middle with this, Joe. I am not on this hype train that a lot of people are
00:14with the Bears this season. I'm also not probably on the side Joe is where they're going to
00:18completely suck. I'm somewhere in... I'm not ready to say he's going to win nine games
00:23in his first year, but I don't think he's going to win two. I think that he's going
00:26to be decent in his first year in the league. Well, I want to ruin your day with another
00:31Joe who's Italian, who lives in New Jersey, who doesn't like the Bears, but I'm going
00:36to. I'm where Joe Lisi is a little bit, and I am. I just... Look, man, you know, the Caleb
00:42Williams hype train is for real right now, and the hard knocks does not help. I mean,
00:48it just does not. So you're getting a lot of attention on this team that frankly has
00:52done nothing, that has proven time and time again, whether it be Fields, Trubisky, whatever
00:57it is, they have trouble developing quarterbacks. In fact, we've had trouble with quarterbacks
01:00in this organization, you know, since the beginning of time, it feels like. I mean,
01:03when I was a kid, it was Jim McMahon, and then I remember the Doug Fluties and the Zolaks.
01:07I mean, we can go on and on with some of the guys that have gone through over the years,
01:10and still with all those guys, the Ortons of the world, even the Jake Cutlers of the
01:15world, nobody's throwing for 4K yards. And somehow, what, like Caleb Williams in year
01:19one is going to be the savior. My thing with the Bears, though, is a couple pieces. The
01:24first with Caleb Williams is how does he react to playing in the cold of, you know, November
01:28and December in Chicago? That's a very different environment than playing in Southern California.
01:32It just is. And some guys just don't react well to that. Maybe he will, maybe he won't.
01:37The point is, we don't know yet. And I think that's something that everybody who watches
01:40things, everything's going to be great. Well, everything isn't always great, especially
01:43when it comes to the Bears quarterbacks. How does he react when things don't go well? Right
01:47now it's sunshine and roses. You're the number one pick. Everybody loves you in the media.
01:50It's a tough media market, Chicago. It's a tough fan base. When things don't go well,
01:56they're going to get on you. Caleb Williams sometimes has been a little sensitive to that
02:00at times. And look, let's not pretend like he didn't lose five of the last six games
02:04in his college career too, and things didn't kind of unravel a little bit. That to me is
02:07another one. He has got a lot of weapons around him. He's got a lot of help around him. It's
02:11all theoretical. Preseason means nothing. Hard knocks means nothing. So I'm in terms
02:17of wind total. It's one that I'm kind of staying away from because there's too many variables.
02:21Sure. Could be good. Caleb Williams could be a guy that comes in the league and plays
02:25like a young Aaron Rogers and slings the ball over to places. Nothing but highlight reels
02:28and all of a sudden elevates his team. Who knows even to the playoffs, but there's also
02:33a bigger range of outcome there where the guy's a rookie and he's still figuring things
02:37out and all that pressure being the number one pick. He doesn't live up to it. To me.
02:41I think it's a big stay away just totally because I'm a little bit more of what Joe
02:44Lisa is, which is the bears have to prove it to me. And so far they proven nothing.
