Tourist falls into sinkhole in Kuala Lumpur

A 48-year-old Indian tourist remains unaccounted for, after falling into a sinkhole in Kuala Lumpur on Friday, August 23, according to Malaysian police.

Surveillance footage shows the woman plunging into the approximately 8-meter-deep chasm while shocked bystanders scrambled to safety.

Rescue teams from the fire and rescue department were still searching for the missing woman on Saturday, August 24, along a 7 kilometer-long sewage line accessible through six manholes.
