Four people including a police officer were injured in a stabbing attack in Sydney early on Sunday (Aug 25), police said, the latest in a series of knife assaults in Australia's biggest city this year.

00:00A stabbing attack following a car crash in Sydney early Sunday left four people, including
00:07a police officer, injured.
00:10According to police, the incident, which was connected to a domestic-related dispute, occurred
00:14after a car collided with another vehicle in the southern suburb of Engadine.
00:19No fatalities were reported in the attack.
00:22That vehicle has collided with another vehicle, and as a result of that, a number of members
00:29of the community stopped to assist both occupants from both those vehicles.
00:33As the community members were assisting one of the females out of one vehicle, the male
00:38got out of that vehicle.
00:39He was armed with what we believe to be a box cutter, and the female had obviously sustained
00:45a number of injuries from an altercation inside that vehicle.
00:49Emergency services arrived very quickly afterwards.
00:52That male was engaged by the police.
00:54A short foot pursuit occurred.
00:56A Taser deployment was initiated, and that person was taken into custody.
01:02New South Wales Police Minister Yasmin Catley assured the public that there is no ongoing
01:07threat to the city's residents.
