00:00Would you rather Patrick Mahomes or Jalen Hurts, and why?
00:07Well, first of all, what's so interesting here is any of the drafts you're in, you know,
00:12most people are in the single quarterback leagues.
00:14I would expressly encourage you to try Superflex this year if you've never done it,
00:19or to at least get a Superflex league in your portfolio, as Matt likes to call it.
00:24But when you have the single quarterback leagues, what's so nice is
00:28somebody's going to shoot that flare gun off at some point.
00:31Could be second round, could be third round, could even be fourth,
00:33if everyone's really disciplined, where the quarterbacks start to go.
00:36And typically it's Josh Allen, the first one going,
00:39even though the first guy on my board is actually Patrick Mahomes.
00:42Why is it Patrick Mahomes?
00:44Because I'm old enough to remember two years ago where he had 5,000 yards passing,
00:47and the year before that he was 4,800 yards passing, and that was also without Tyree Kill.
00:52So it's not like he needs Tyree Kill in order to get that sort of number.
00:55Patrick Mahomes is legendary.
00:57Now, Jalen Hurts isn't a bad pick.
00:59He's going to get you points with his legs, but the problem with Hurts
01:01and the problem with Allen is I'm just not sure that you're going to see
01:05the total of rushing touchdowns, which was a record, by the way.
01:08Both of them set 15 most rushing touchdowns for a quarterback ever, okay?
01:14Both of those guys did it in the same year.
01:16I don't know if you can count on that.
01:18Typically they're much closer to that 9 or 10 range,
01:20and I do have my concerns that maybe with Saquon Barkley there
01:23that things change a little bit at the goal line,
01:25but I don't see as much as the brotherly shove.
01:27Maybe we're trying to protect Jalen Hurts a little bit more,
01:29and don't forget Jason Kelsey's gone.
01:31He was the integral part of that brotherly shove.
01:33He was the one that made it work.
01:35He is not there anymore.
01:37I know they're still going to do it better than everybody else.
01:39I just don't know if they're going to do it as much as they used to.
01:41That's the only question.
01:42So for me, it's Patrick Mahomes.
01:44But the real answer here is once that flare gun goes up,
01:47you have to look at the rest of the board and say, okay,
01:49do I want to go quarterback now or do I want to wait for a Jordan Love
01:52or a Jaden Daniels or somebody like that later?
01:54And I typically like to do that this year.
01:56I think it's a better bang for your buck.
01:58But if I am going to go early QB,
02:00Mahomes will be one of the two I would select here.
