00:00The Holy Qur'an says
00:03هو الله الخالق البارئ He is Allah, the Khaliq, the Bariq
00:11The word Bariq comes from the root word Ba-Ra-A
00:17Ba-Ra-A could mean to bring something into existence
00:21It also means to be free, disassociated or distinguished from another thing
00:27For example, the same root word is used in this verse of the Holy Qur'an
00:33إِنَّنِي بَرَاءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ
00:37Indeed, I am disassociated, free from that which you worship
00:43البارئ has a very similar meaning to الخالق
00:47except خالق is more general while بارئ is more specific
00:52We said الخالق is to create something without a previous model
00:57but البارئ is to create something that is distinguished from another thing
01:02One example for this is your fingerprints
01:05Every human has its own fingerprint and it is different and distinguished from anyone else
01:12Even identical twins have different fingerprints
01:15These fingerprints of ours represent our human character
01:19In today's society, fingerprinting is used in the study of crimes
01:25If a burglar touches a door handle, window or a box
01:29a sample of their fingerprint is taken to identify the burglar
01:34We can even use our fingerprints to lock and unlock our phones
01:38All your personal information, photos, emails, contacts, text messages
01:45can all be unlocked by using your fingerprints
01:48Now, think about the Day of Judgment where Allah says
01:53Yes, we are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of His fingers
01:58On this day, Allah will bring back even our fingertips, our identity
02:04and unlock all our hidden secrets, intentions, motives, good deeds and bad deeds
02:10This is just one distinguishing feature of humans
02:14Remember, Allah is البارئ
02:17the one who gave all things characteristics which would distinguish them from each other
02:23The next time you look at your hands, pay close attention to your fingertips
02:28the thing that distinguishes and identifies you from someone else
02:32Do you want to be distinguished and identified as a person that does good deeds or bad deeds on the Day of Judgment?
02:39Of course we want to be distinguished and identified as a person that does good deeds and stays away from bad deeds
