01:23this is really a huge economic development opportunity not just for
01:27Newcastle but the whole of the Hunter we know what a powerhouse the Hunter
01:31Valley is for the whole of our economy and high-speed rail is very much about
01:36transforming the Hunter Valley and particularly and obviously Newcastle as
01:40part of that I had the great opportunity to go and have a look at high-speed rail
01:44to over in the UK and what that is doing for Birmingham an equivalent sort of
01:49city to Newcastle really is transformational and that's really what
01:53this project is about it's not just about quicker commuter times and getting
01:57people into Sydney it's actually about getting businesses out of Sydney into
02:01Newcastle and generating those new jobs for the Hunter Valley
