00:00Hi, I'm Mark Dunford from Sussex World and I'm here today at Sixes Social Cricket in
00:04Brighton just below the i360 tower and we're going to give this Sixes cricket a go.
00:12Outside is the Beechers cricket but we're going in to try out, we've got 45 minutes
00:17in the net inside, so we're going to give it a go and let you know what we think.
00:30Oh wow, that comes a lot slower than you think. Wow, 34 miles an hour. Right, okay.
00:43Shot. Oh, onto your stumps. Ow!
00:58How do you feel it's going so far Noah? I'm not doing very well. I'm 8 out of 12 for 2.
01:1512 for 2. But you know, I'm looking forward to it. Enjoying the experience so far? It's
01:20been very good, it's been very good.
01:30Nice.
01:40Shot.
01:51It's on 53.
02:08Shot.
02:11I'm getting a bit nervous now as he's catching me. Ah, and then he's lost it. There you go, good.
02:17So, current scores. I'm on 79 for none, he's on 64 for 2 and Mandy on a valiant effort of 24.
02:29So, here we go.
02:34More runs.
02:41Sixer!
02:49Six runs. Gone up a level and the standard's gone up a level as well.
02:56So Noah, we've just come out of sixes. I absolutely trounced you. How do you feel, how do you feel it went?
03:02It went good, it was enjoyable. You know, it's a very fun simulation. So you don't hit all the balls, but it's the fun of it.
03:13Do you feel it's a good representation of cricket when you're actually batting?
03:17I mean, it is, yeah, because of the different speeds they vary, you know, slower balls, faster balls, if you spin in there. But yeah, it's a very good experience.
03:26So I'm sat here now after we've had our 45 minutes in the cricket net. Again, I won, but as a valiant effort from the other two as well to try and keep up with me.
03:38Who knows, I might come out of cricket in retirement now. Now I've still got it. So, but yeah, now we're sitting down with a menu.
03:45We've got a lovely menu here at Sixes Social Cricket. There's kids menu, there's pizzas, burgers, sharing plates, plenty of cocktails as well.
03:54So you can make a real night of it or a real day of it here. So we'll let you know what the food is like.
04:05So Noah, we've played cricket. We've just sat down, had a meal at Sixes Cricket in Brighton. What are your thoughts of the barbecue chicken pizza you had?
04:13It was very nice. It was very tasty. Came with some bacon. I'm not a fan of bacon, but if you are, that's good. Clean of play, obviously. It was very nice, very delightful.
04:22So what do you think of the day overall and the whole experience?
04:25It's a very fun experience. If you like cricket, it's a very fun thing to do with some teammates, some friends, family. And yeah, get yourself down it.
04:35So I just had a burger. I had the chicken burger. It's called the Botham Burger, obviously. It was really nice.
04:40Yeah, really salty fries, which you can't beat after exerting a lot of energy and fatting. So yeah, really good experience here at Sixes Cricket.
04:50Great fun. Even if you don't like cricket, there's plenty to do. You can have cocktails and there's lots of different games.
04:56You can do the T20 experience, 100 experience, etc. So, so much to do. And what a venue to do it in and what a scene outside, especially on a day like this.
05:07So, really good day out at Sixes Cricket. And yeah, can't recommend it enough.
