Transcript
00:00In Philadelphia first, Zach Wheeler and the Pharoahs, a
00:08minus 172 favorite against the Astros who sent out Ronel
00:12Blanco. As we look at the total today in Philadelphia, eight is
00:17the number, the under has the juice. The Astros split their
00:20four-game set, winning the finale yesterday in Baltimore
00:24against the O's this weekend. The Pharoahs taking the final
00:27two games in KC. The offense picking up once again. They
00:31scored at least 11 runs or scored exactly 11 runs, excuse
00:34me, in the last two games. What are your thoughts for game one
00:38today in Philadelphia between the Phillies and the Astros?
00:41You usually get a bigger bump from the home team that's fresh
00:44off of not playing on Sunday night baseball, but if you keep
00:47in mind how close like Houston was playing to Philadelphia last
00:50night, it's not that long of a trip and it's not like, hey,
00:53you know, we played in Los Angeles, so we got to fly to
00:54the East Coast. We just played on Sunday night baseball, so
00:57you'll get a better performance out of the Houston Astros from
00:59a refreshment point, but having said that, Philadelphia
01:01Phillies have been very good this weekend on offense, waking
01:05out of their slumber. If you look at Blanco, he's a right-handed
01:08pitcher, but he does really struggle with left-handed
01:10batters. That's Schwarber, that's Harper, that's Stott,
01:13that's Marsh in this lineup, and also Austin Hayes on the
01:17back end of it. It'll be interesting to see him coming
01:19back into the flow now, fresh off of that hamstring injury,
01:22but if I'm just being optimistic, Zach Wheeler's on
01:25the mound. It's a two-game streak here. These are the
01:27ones you're supposed to win, but I just have this malaise
01:29over the Phillies for me. It's like, okay, we won yesterday.
01:32Everybody in our division lost again. It's okay if we lose
01:35that. Like, I just feel like that's the, and I understand
01:37that's not the psyche of Zach Wheeler taking the mound or
01:39Bryce Harper. I'm like, you know what? Six-game lead, it's
01:41not that big of a deal. Sooner or later, you got to put your
01:43foot down here. It's a nice series win against Kansas City.
01:47Now, you have three games at home up here against Houston,
01:50followed by four games at home against the Atlanta Braves.
01:52You're supposed to go five and two in those games, but also
01:55start these series off with a victory, not climbing from
01:59behind. So, I do think the Phillies have the better
02:01picture on the mound and technically the better lineup
02:03in their home ballpark. They should win this game, but how
02:06many times have you seen me breaking down Phillies games
02:08saying they're supposed to win this game, only to draw dead
02:11and have me go again in the first inning? You know what?
02:14Watch the top of the first. Phillies down two to nothing.
02:16I'm out for the rest of the night here. Just give me
02:18something to enjoy. Watch, not yesterday with Boehm catching
02:21a baseball and stepping on third base as if it's three
02:24outs and there's only two outs. I'm like, I can't even watch
02:26this anymore at this point. So, hopefully they can pick up a
02:28dub tonight. Goodness.
