00:00If you believe the rumors of beef between Charli XCX and Taylor Swift,
00:04they're both speaking out without directly addressing the rumors.
00:15Some fans believe sympathy is a knife of Charli's hit album, Brad, is about Taylor Swift.
00:30Especially a female artist where you are pitted against your peers,
00:34but also expected to be best friends with every single person.
00:37Charli made it clear before the album dropped that there aren't any diss tracks on Brad aside from Bun Dutch.
00:44And if you're not, you're like deemed a bad feminist.
00:52But we did see a song about Lorde get an epic remix.
01:01While we don't know if T Swift will be on a remix of Sympathy is a Knife,
01:05which Charli played for New York Magazine, Taylor told the mag,
01:09I've been blown away by Charli's melodic sensibility since I first heard Stay Away in 2011.
01:14Her writing is surreal and inventive always.
01:17She just takes a song to places you wouldn't expect it to go.
01:20And she's been doing it consistently for over a decade.
01:23I'd love to see hard work like that pay off.
01:26Taylor's seen Charli's work firsthand when Charli was an opener for the Reputation World Tour.
01:31When asked if she regretted the lyric that made most fans think Sympathy was about Taylor,
01:36she simply said no and said she was okay playing the silent game and letting the interview get awkward.
01:41Charli told the mag she's been working on a full-length other project that she says is in the Bradosphere,
01:46but wouldn't call it a remix album.
01:48And she was just in the studio with Bunny Vare and Daniel Haim, who both notably worked with Taylor.
01:53So we'll continue our Brad summer and can't wait to see what the fall holds.
