00:00Vegas, you know, it's home for me.
00:08Just feels warm, it's magical.
00:10And for the bands, this is where we started, this is where we spent hours upon hours upon
00:14hours practicing.
00:16It's where we grew up, you know, as a band.
00:19We went to the hotels and just kind of begged them and said, you know, give us a chance
00:27to, you know, play a little bit.
00:29Eventually, we were seeing that people really reacted well to this.
00:32And then we started to branch out, we played in California, Utah a lot, Arizona, and kind
00:37of the West Coast circuit.
00:38I remember arriving to shows and thinking, man, you know, nobody's here, this is going
00:42to be a terrible show.
00:43And somehow it ended up, you know, being more than last, and that just kept happening.
00:47And that really drove the band, I think.
00:51I don't know if we would have been together this long if we hadn't seen a reaction.
00:56It's time to begin, isn't it?
00:58I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit I'm just the same as I was.
01:07Now that you understand that I'm never changing who I am.
01:14You know, I've done music my whole life, and I knew I wanted to start a band a little
01:32over three years ago.
01:33I met Wayne.
01:34He had just graduated from Berkeley.
01:36He was the most talented musician that I'd ever met.
01:40We were like...
01:48We just had a great musical bond and friendship, you know, really quick.
01:52The reason we work well together is because of our differences as much as our similarities.
01:58Me being the perfectionist and probably the over-analytical one, and him being the more
02:02spur-of-the-moment, like, visionary kind of guy.
02:04He's very in the moment.
02:10Better tell them what they hear, cause they just may run away from you.
02:16You'll never know what went well, then again it just depends on how long your time is left
02:24with you.
02:26Wayne said, this bass player is really incredible, this drummer is really incredible, you know,
02:31let's call him up.
02:32Ben dropped out of school, the semester left, and moved to Las Vegas on a whim, as well
02:36as Daniel, you know, dropped everything, moved to Vegas.
02:39I'm on top of the world, I'm on top of the world, been waiting on this for a while now,
02:47paying my dues to the dirt.
02:49I've been waiting to start it, been holding it in for a while now, taking with me if I
02:55can, been dreaming of this since a child, I'm on top of the world.
03:01You know, getting to this point where we're finishing up our first album, I don't know,
03:06it does kind of feel like we are, you know, about to open a whole new chapter.
03:12You know, there's a lot of pressure on the guys, for sure.
03:19I'm feeling really excited for the next little bit of time.
03:23It just seems to be moving frightfully fast, it's a little overwhelming, but it's great.
03:29As a band, you really only get to do your first album once, you know, as silly as that
03:33sounds, and it lives on with you forever, and everybody knows your first album, you
03:37define their sound based off that album.
03:40That's why we have released EPs to this point, because it hadn't felt like we'd arrived at
03:46a place where we knew what we were as a band.
03:48I've never been, you know, more sure of any decision that we've made as a band, that now
03:54is the time.
