Luton FC manager Rob Edwards and legend Mick Harford send messages of support to Adam Dilley who is fighting brain cancer

Around a thousand people turned out for the inaugural football match between Dilley’s Unathletico Madrid as they played GKN XI

Luton FC manager Rob Edwards and legend Mick Harford have sent messages of support to a fan battling brain cancer.

A charity football match raised almost £6,000 for Brain Tumour Research. It was inspired by dad Adam Dilley, who had a lifesaving op just four days before.

Mick Harford was ref, and stayed until way after the game before heading to Preston for Luton’s weekend fixture
