00:00Forty-one men who tested positive for Mpox were referred to the SPAT Dermatology Clinic in Quezon City.
00:13Twenty-eight of them were quarantined due to a higher chance of contracting the disease.

00:22In Quezon City, 33-year-old men who tested positive for Mpox were referred to the SPAT Dermatology Clinic in Quezon City.
00:30According to the local government, the man is not a QC, but after he was diagnosed with the disease on August 8,
00:36he went for a massage at a spa on Rodriguez Avenue on August 11.
00:41On August 15, he went for a consultation at the Dermatology Clinic in Luzon.
00:46The patient saw skin lesions on the face, arms, back, and other parts of the body.
00:52When the doctor saw this, he immediately coordinated with the barangay to transport the patient to RITM and get the specimen.
01:03Last week, he tested positive for Mpox.
01:07In the contact tracing, 41 close contacts of the patient were referred to.
01:12Ten were from the SPAT.
01:14Twenty-seven were other clients of the SPAT.
01:17Four were possibly related to him.
01:20Only three of the ten employees are from Quezon City.
01:23Four clients out of 27 are from Quezon City.
01:28The patient is high-risk because he has multiple sexual partners.
01:31The doctor who checked the patient is on PPE.
01:34We cannot consider him as a high-risk close contact.
01:38Twenty-eight of the close contacts are type 1 or have a higher chance of contracting the disease,
01:43so they are in home quarantine until September 1.
01:46He is the masseur who massaged the patient and the other clients who were exposed to the patient.
01:52None of them at this time have exhibiting symptoms.
01:57The symptoms of Mpox are skin lesions, fever, headache, body aches, and redness of the lymph nodes.
02:05If it comes out, he needs to be isolated.
02:08He needs to avoid using things that should be used around the family,
02:14such as linen, towels, etc.
02:19It should not be used.
02:21He needs intimate close contact to be protected.
02:25The spa that the patient went to was closed because the mayor's permit expired
02:30and there is no sanitary permit, environmental clearance, and fire inspection certificate.
02:36The President ordered the agencies to continue to monitor Mpox,
02:41especially for people who are vulnerable to the disease.
02:44The Health Department is ready to treat Mpox.
02:48The World Health Organization first raised the Global Public Health Emergency
02:52due to the outbreak of Mpox in Congo, where more than 1,000 people have been infected since 2023.

04:07The 37-year-old man from Metro Manila is the 11th case.
04:12He is currently confined in a hospital.
04:14The 12th case, also 32 years old and from Metro Manila, is recovering at home.
04:21The two new cases have skin-to-skin contact.
04:25The DOH said that the cases are considered local transmission
04:29and are not connected to outbreaks in the Republic of Congo.
04:33Five to ten cases of Mpox are reported daily by the DOH.
04:39But it is not immediately made public until the laboratory test is confirmed.
