Transcript
00:00So how did you guys start your own comic company?
00:14I've always been into comics and I wasn't happy with all the stuff that, you know, was
00:18coming out and just decided to do it a little differently and wanted to put out all my favorite
00:24stuff, Simon, we worked together on the album cover.
00:27What attracted you guys to the work of Frank Rosetta?
00:29I don't know, for me it was just something I was drawn to.
00:33I mean I was a kid about eight years old and I saw a Conan cover in a bookshop and I was
00:40just drawn to it.
00:41It just hit me in the face and I just could not believe it.
00:43It was stunning.
00:44There's something inside and it's difficult to explain it really, so I'm not going to.
00:48When I was a kid I saw his paintings and I was partly responsible for me starting to
00:54read books and getting into reading.
00:56You've got this kind of weird drawing style that's a mix between painting and, you know,
01:00comic art.
01:01Where did you pick that up?
01:02Just from a lot of inspirations.
01:04You know, you've got fine arts, you've got just visual things just around the place to
01:09look at and comics is an amalgamation of a lot of things and a lot of experiences and
01:13it just comes out and I don't understand it, I can't explain it.
01:16Is that alright?
01:17No, I'm just good, you know.
01:19I just show it.
01:26You too, Sonic Youth, Green Day and Pearl Jam.
