00:00This school in Assam does not accept money as fees.
00:04Instead, you have to pay a heavy fee of 25 plastic bottles every week.
00:10Let me explain.
00:11It all started when Parmita and Mazin noticed two problems in their neighborhood.
00:16Too much trash and illiteracy.
00:18To solve both problems, they built this breathtaking school in the heart of Assam.
00:25Where children can study for free if they collect plastic bottles every week.
00:31And that plastic is used to make bricks, roads and even toilets.
00:35That's not it.
00:36The older students teach the younger ones.
00:38While the older ones earn money by teaching, the younger students learn languages,
00:43plastic recycling, carpentry, gardening and more.
00:47This school is educating hundreds of students from rural Assam
00:52and they are so happy that the school has a 0% dropout rate.
00:56Friends, plastic can either pollute or educate.
01:01What you choose to do with it makes all the difference.
