Former miner David Creamer, from Rotherham, celebrates new teeth after years of 'nothing but soup and painkillers.' He snapped four crowns while eating a sandwich in Blackpool, but now he's looking forward to doing back and "eating a proper meal."

00:34who said that they're really that bad, most of them are going to have to come out, buy
00:40a way of taking the roots out etc, we're leaving just a few, but they were taking no NHS patients
00:50whatsoever, in fact anywhere in Rotherham could I get an NHS. I even tried the Charles Clippard
00:58Dental Hospital which is well known for helping people that's not got a dentist and they said
01:05well you need a referral. My answer to that was well I can't get a dentist so I can't get a
01:11referral. So I paid up front and saw another private dentist, 40 quid, who did the full
01:17x-ray and again explained there's a lot of work to do and he's prepared to work in advance now
01:25but it's 5,500 quid, so at the moment I'm on benefits, ESA and the low rate of PIP and there's
01:36nowhere on earth I can afford it, so basically I look like sitting it out while some magic happens,
01:45maybe win the lottery and get these teeth sorted out. I'm on painkillers every day prescribed by
01:53my doctor, three lots of different painkillers and the pain can be very very bad. I'm having to eat
02:01soft drinks all the time, can't eat a proper meal and I haven't been able to now for nearly seven
02:08or eight months. I'm an ex coal miner from Silverwood Colliery Rotherham, was there virtually
02:14until it shut in 94 and all I'm really asking if there's a dentist out there who's prepared to do a little bit of
02:21natural health dentist treatment to help me out I would be grateful for it because I've never known
02:28dentistry sink so far down than it has now. Nobody can seem to get a dentist, people are pulling their
02:36own teeth out with pliers and we're supposed to have a caring government that's supposed to be
02:42about levelling up, well maybe somebody from the government might come and level up and level out my teeth, thank you very much.
