Eleanor Whitehead at The Museum of Wigan Life, prepares for the Heritage Day events in Wigan, including a guided musical walking tour of Wigan town centre. The tour will cover 3km over 40 minutes and will explore Wigan's unique musical heritage with music linked to local bands and commentary from local young people who co-curated the tour content, played through headsets. Created with Everyday Wigan with funding from Museum Development. The walking tour will be on Friday 6th September 12-1pm, part of the Heritage Day events around the country.

00:04Life and we are just planning our offer for Heritage Open Days. So this year we're

00:22through music and entertainment and all the things that make the borough special.
00:27It's been made in conjunction with Everyday Wigan thanks to funding from Museum Development

00:37borough so brilliant. The Heritage Open Days we're also going to be working in Leigh so
00:43there's a curator tour of our wonderful Forward Together exhibition which celebrates 50 years
00:48of the borough.
