00:00What's going to be happening from next Monday is that hundreds of thousands of parents and their
00:05children will be able to take advantage of the new entitlement to 15 hours free child care for
00:13those children from nine months upwards. This has taken an enormous amount of work from
00:19child care providers, local authorities, the government, but it's a massive opportunity for
00:26children to get the very best early life chances and for parents to have more choices about going
00:32out to work. What we've said about flexible working is it helps the economy to become
00:37more productive. We need to see more people who are able to get into work because there are too
00:42many economically inactive people in the economy at the moment. Our child care announcements will
00:48help with that, but so also will enabling businesses, employers and workers work out
00:57a new more flexible way of working.
