00:00So day two on the Homer lake after the pollution and some of the fish had died, so a majority
00:11of the fish that had died had been small perch, we've had 8-10 bream but a majority of it
00:22all is tiny perch, the big carp are all fine, a lot of the bream and the big roach, they're
00:30all right, so we caught it early enough yesterday morning thanks to Richard Guest and his friend
00:36Scott Dudeson for reporting it to us, so we rung the environment agency first to report
00:44the pollution and now they've come down today, lads were down here half past six testing
00:52the water quality and everything and they've brought the machines down which pump the water
00:58in through the machine there, back out and pump oxygen into the water which is helping
01:05loads, they're here till about half seven tonight, seven Trent were supposed to be down,
01:13haven't heard anything from them unfortunately so I haven't got an update but thank you to the
01:19guys from the environment agency, they have been absolutely first class on the ball, can't fault
01:26them, they're always here when we're in need and their machinery is absolutely brilliant,
01:32so let's see what happens. We were here, Telford Angling Association were here last night,
01:39we put our pumps on for five hours and which stopped the oxygen crash overnight but it went
01:51really low on the oxygen this morning and that's why the big pumps have been deployed,
01:55we could do with obviously seven Trent putting their big pumps in which was supposed to happen
02:01this morning but hasn't happened so I'm not sure whether they're going to be here. So that's the
02:07up-to-date version, so the fish deaths and mortality is a lot of little perch, we're
02:15talking hundreds and hundreds of perch, little ones, ounce, two ounces with the odd four ounce
02:21sample, bream you're looking probably four or five pound, we've had if we say ten that's as
02:29much as we've took out the pool, all the rest we seem to have got on forward a bit quite well and
02:35all the rest are surviving. Plenty of fish topping last night and milling around so I'm hoping we're
02:41over the best of it and over the next few days we'll obviously keep a monitor on it and if need
02:49more pumps then more pumps will be brought out.
