00:54Hi, my name is Marzio. I'm the new Brawl Stars Community Manager.
00:57This upcoming season is called Back to Ranger Range.
01:00And it presents the home of Shelly, Colt and Spike.
01:03Just when you thought Colt and Shelly could finally rest on their new home,
01:07a new challenger appeared.
01:09And Pearl is the new Chromatic Brother of the season.
01:12And she's now completing Sam and Belle's trio.
01:14Pearl is a cookie oven robot created by Sam and Belle.
01:18And she's like a daughter to them.
01:19If you mess with Sam and Belle,
01:21Pearl will go after you with the anger of a thousand burning cookies.
01:24And yeah, that's her main attack. Hot cookies.
01:27She spreads a series of cookies in medium range.
01:29Most of the cookies won't hit the target if you are a bit distant,
01:32but it's pretty easy to hit at least one of them.
01:35For her super, she quickly explodes
01:37and knocks back everything within a short radius around her.
01:40It also destroys walls.
01:42What's different about Pearl is that she has this heat bar.
01:45The higher the heat inside her oven, the hotter her cookies will be.
01:49And so, the higher the damage.
01:51The heat bar keeps charging while you are not attacking.
01:54And when it's complete, she overheats causing max damage
01:57with both her main and her super attack.
01:59Once you attack or use the super, the heat bar cools down.
02:03Pearl is getting an underwater skin at the end of the Brawl Pass
02:06called Periscope Pearl.
02:08And her cookies now become fish
02:10and she has a goldfish swimming inside her.
02:12She's also getting a 29 gem skin called Vintage Pearl,
02:16where she becomes a toy oven but still shoots painful cookies.
02:22So, are we getting Ranchi Wild West skins?
02:25Not exactly, but close enough.
02:27They are the Wasteland skins.
02:29Scorpion Willow now controls mines with Scorpions
02:32and she'll be released with the Brawl Pass
02:34so you can buy with Blink when the season starts.
02:36Marauder Maisie is a perfect adaptation of how Maisie would look like
02:40in a post-apocalyptic world.
02:42She's also the Powerlink skin.
02:44Raider Cordelius leaves his garden
02:46and is now adapted to survive in the desert.
02:48And Rodeo Hank, still a shrimp,
02:50but in a tank that's more aligned with life in the range.
02:55What's the result of Brawl skins plus monsters plus cool?
02:59The result is Brawl Academy skins.
03:01He has the best grades, he knows everything about sci-fi movies,
03:05he's NerdSqueak.
03:06Boxing gloves are pom-poms
03:08and she cheers for the local school team, cheerleader Rosa.
03:12And College M's got a small remodel
03:14so she can now make part of the gang as well.
03:16She's now called Mean Girl M's.
03:19Lastly, he's the popular Chad,
03:21plays sports and has a date for the prom, Jocks 2.
03:24Jocks 2 is also a 299 gem skin
03:28so it'll come with a pink set, profile picture,
03:30spray and custom effects when you defeat an enemy Brawler.
03:34We'll also add this extra effect
03:36to all the other 299 gem skins in future updates.
03:42It's funny you mention a 299 gem skin
03:45because we have a new Mecha skin.
03:47Your favorite ammo boy Edgar
03:49is the one getting this super cool skin.
03:52It has everything you'd expect from a Mecha skin
03:54including the new special effect for defeating Brawlers.
03:57Mecha Edgar will be released in early October.
04:00And this time we have 2 skins for the Lunar Festival.
04:03They are Lunar Janet and now she's ready to shine
04:06and fly around the moon.
04:07And Hanbok Man using the cute traditional dress from this event.
04:12Chuck is the new Brawler coming in October.
04:15He used to be an orchestra conductor before he joined Star Park
04:18and now he's still a conductor but for trains.
04:21The darkness and the weird noises from the gold station
04:24inspire his music while he travels between stops.
04:27And every once in a while he performs his act to Gus
04:30when he mysteriously shows up.
04:31He shoots a cloud of hot steam from his head with his main attack
04:35and it can hit the target 3 times.
04:37And his super is really different.
04:39He can throw train signs on the floor and then he dashes between them.
04:43There is a certain number of train signs you can drop on the ground
04:46and you can't connect signs if they are behind a wall.
04:49But if you set up your signs right you can dash across the entire map.
04:53So it's up to your creativity and strategy on where you wanna place those signs.
04:57It sounds very complex but once you start playing you get used to it.

05:04Chuck also has a 29 gem skin called Inferno Chuck
05:08that makes him just a bit scary.
05:12And before we jump into Hypercharge
05:14we wanna tell you about a new change regarding power levels.
05:17Power levels will now increase your Brawler power
05:20from 5% to 10% with each level.
05:23Our goal is to make leveling up your Brawlers a bit more meaningful.
05:26And even though it's an obvious thing to do in the game
05:29it should be more rewarding to do so.
05:31Some new animations and visuals are also being applied
05:34when leveling up to help make it more exciting.
05:36This shouldn't change the end game meta
05:38because all the Brawlers upgrade the same.
05:41However, star powers and gadgets that are not percentage based
05:44will be slightly weaker for the time being.
05:47Our goal is to change all of those percentage values in the next updates.
05:53Ok, it's time to get Hypercharge!
05:56Hypercharge is the new item you unlock at power level 11.
06:00So you heard it right, we are not adding a new power level.
06:03This means that the gear slot you would normally unlock at level 11
06:06will now be unlocked at level 8.
06:08Here's how your progression looks now.
06:10Gadget, gear, star power, another gear and Hypercharge.
06:14So, what is Hypercharge?
06:16Hypercharge makes your super attack more powerful
06:19and your Brawler generally stronger.
06:21But it's only for a short while.
06:23To get your Brawler Hypercharged
06:25you have to fill another bar in battle
06:27that appears around the new Hypercharge button.
06:30Anything that normally charges the super also charges the Hypercharge bar
06:34but takes longer.
06:35Once your Hypercharge is up
06:37you only have to press the Hypercharge button
06:39and it will activate for your Brawler
06:41which will make them in flames and will also change the super icon.
06:44For the release of Hypercharge
06:46we'll have a collector's bundle with some really cool cosmetics.
06:49You can buy the bundle with gems or coins.
06:51But if you want just the Hypercharge item
06:54you can wait two weeks and buy it directly from the Brawler's profile screen.
06:58We will start with introducing Hypercharge
07:00for Shelly, Colt, Bull, Spike, Jackie and Pearl.
07:05So six in total.
07:06Our goal is to release more with each update.
07:09And by the way, you can get Shelly's Hypercharge for free
07:12in the new Hypercharge Unleashed event we are releasing with the update.
07:16In this event you will play a random game mode
07:19with a random maxed out Brawler who has Hypercharge.
07:22You don't need to own the Brawlers to play with them in the event
07:25so everyone can play.
07:26Complete the quest for this new game mode
07:28and you will get Shelly's Hypercharge for free.
07:31You can still buy the cosmetic bundle for gems or coins if you want to.
07:35But be aware that this event will only be live for a limited time
07:38so if you want one free Hypercharge
07:40make sure to play it right after the update is live.
07:45Hypercharge will also be available in Star Drops in early October
07:49together with Star Drop events.
07:51The events are Double Star Drop Days and Free Star Drops in the Shop.
07:55Four game modes are available instead of six.
07:58Showdown and Brawl Ball are always on
08:00and Knockout will rotate with Jangrab.
08:03Siege is coming back and will be rotating with Wipeout.
08:06Bounty, Heist and Hot Zone are now disabled from the normal rotation.
08:11This change should improve matchmaking speed and overall quality
08:14since players will be less distributed across different game modes.
08:18But they will still be available every once in a while and also in friendly modes.
08:22Luke is getting a small revamp to his model.
08:24A new rare gear added.
08:26The World Finals this year will take place at Dreamhack Winter in Sweden
08:30from November 24 to 26.

08:57Over the last 12 months we've improved gears,
08:59started working on a reporting system,
09:01introduced a star road, masteries, bling, star drops,
09:04a new catalogue for cosmetic items,
09:06changed up the battle start and battle end screens
09:09and now last but not least introduced a new gameplay mechanic, Hypercharge.
09:13What's up next for Brawl Stars you ask?
09:15The first item on our to-do list is Club League.
09:17We are currently not satisfied with the structure.
09:20There are too many different systems which makes it rather hard to understand for our new players.
09:24But at the same time we're locking a lot of progression behind playing Club League every week.
09:28And the grind really never ends.
09:30This has to change to allow more people to participate and benefit from it.
09:33We're planning to ship Club League 2.0 within the next few updates.
09:36Next on our to-do list is a bigger rework for Power League
09:39to make it more accessible and rewarding to play.
09:41Today Power League is only attractive for our most hardcore players.
09:45Can we change this by improving rewards and accessibility
09:48but at the same time addressing some of your biggest concerns?
09:50We think so.
09:52Two things from our previous roadmap that we did not deliver
09:55were social feature improvements and the PvE revamp.
09:58PvE revamp is not in our scope
10:00as we are currently focusing on the core features of Brawl Stars.
10:03But we'd still like to improve social features
10:05that allow you to find friends and other players faster and easier than today.
10:08Find a Team has a ton of promise but it's underutilized.
10:11In general it is simply too hard to play with others
10:14even though we really believe it's the best way to play Brawl Stars.
10:17We're also currently taking an honest look at our Brawl Pass.
10:20Is bi-monthly still the right cadence?
10:22Do we really need to introduce more chromatic brawlers every update?
10:25Or do we need chromatic rarity at all?
10:27Could we offer more benefits for you for purchasing the Brawl Pass?
10:30Last but not least we'd like to focus more on gameplay itself.
10:33We'd love to try out many more game modes than we did in the past.
10:36We have some really cool ideas, let's see how they come out.
