Russian bomb hits high-rise building in Ukraine's Kharkiv, killing seven

00:05Kharkiv hit a residential building and a playground on Friday, killing seven people and injuring

00:11at least 77 more, local authorities said. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said

00:17a 14-year-old girl was among the dead.

00:20Ior Tarakov, the city's mayor, had earlier said on Telegram that one child was killed

00:25in the playground. The 12-story apartment block caught fire as a result of the strike,

00:30the mayor said.

00:31The death toll from the attack climbed to seven when a woman's body was recovered from

00:35the rubble, he added in a later statement. About 20 of the injured were in severe condition,

00:41regional governor Oles Sinihubov said. One end of the block was engulfed in black smoke,

00:47with many of the upper floors in flames. Several cars parked outside were gutted by fire.

00:53Emergency services and rescue volunteers rushed to carry survivors out of the building.
