शनिवार को नई दिल्ली के भारत मंडपम में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने जिला न्यायपालिका के राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन को संबोधित किया। इस दौरान सीजेआई डीवाई चंद्रचूड़ समेत न्यायपालिका से जुड़े अन्य गणमान्य लोगों को संबोधित करते हुए पीएम मोदी ने महिला सुरक्षा का जिक्र कर कहा कि मैं देश और समाज के एक और ज्वलंत विषय को आपके सामने उठाना चाहता हूं आज महिलाओं के खिलाफ अत्याचार, बच्चों की सुरक्षा समाज की एक गंभीर चिंता है। देश में महिलाओं की सुरक्षा के लिए कई कठोर कानून बने हैं। 2019 में सरकार ने फास्ट ट्रैक कोर्ट्स स्थापित करने की योजना बनाई थी। इसके तहत अहम गवाहों के लिए डिपोजिशन सेंटर्स का प्रावधान है। क्रिमिनल जस्टिस सिस्टम के विभिन्न पहलुओं के बीच समन्वय बनाने में उनकी भूमिका अहम होती है।
