Chennai Integral Coach Factory में बनते हैं 170 से अधिक प्रकार के कोच, 875 कोच हो चुके हैं एक्सपोर्ट
इंटीग्रल कोच फैक्ट्री चेन्नई शहर के पेराम्बूर में स्थित है। आईसीएफ में आईसी कोच, एलएचबी कोच, मेट्रो कोच, ईएमयू, डीएमयू और मेमू सहित 170 से अधिक प्रकार के कोच बनते हैं। इसमें वंदे भारत ट्रेन भी शामिल है, जो भारतीय रेलवे की नई रफ्तार की परिभाषा लिख रही है। आईसीएफ में दो मुख्य डिवीजन हैं। पहला शेल डिवीजन और दूसरा फर्निशिंग डिवीजन। शेल डिवीजन में 14 अलग-अलग यूनिट शामिल हैं, जो मिलकर एक रेल कोच के ढांचे का निर्माण करते हैं। ICF के सीनियर सेक्शन इंजीनियर किशोर कुमार ने बताया कि हम यहां वन्दे भारत कोच का निर्माण कर रहे हैं। हम यहां हर महीने 5 से 6 ट्रेन का निर्माण कर रहे हैं। इस वक्त 78 रैक का काम चल रहा है। 70 रैक अब तक हम डिस्पैच कर चुके हैं जो विभिन्न जोनों में चल रही हैं। हमने 13 से अधिक अफ्रीकी-एशियाई देशों में 875 बोगियों और कोचों का एक्सपोर्ट किया है।
