00:00Hi, I'm Matt, producer on Rugby 25.
00:12Let's take you through what's new in our third major early access release and give you an
00:16update on what the team's been working on over the last month.
00:20Let's start with what remains our biggest priority for Rugby 25, and that's improving
00:24gameplay.
00:25We've been pushing gameplay improvements in each of our interim updates since the EA2
00:30release, and this update adds our latest steps forward on that front.
00:35We've had improvements across all aspects of gameplay, lineouts, mauls, rucks, kicking,
00:44and in particular working on passing and tackling, making it more fluid to pass and reducing
00:49the range of tackles.
00:53As always, we appreciate your feedback on where we're at, and we'll be continuing to
00:57improve based on what everyone has to say.
01:00Aside from those changes, in-match you'll now be able to see the detailed stats breakdowns,
01:05both during matches by pausing, as well as pop-ups at key points of the game.
01:11New in Early Access 3 are the first two aspects of the Rugby Academy suite of editing tools.
01:16Firstly, we'll go over the Player Creator.
01:20The extensive options in the Player Creator let you make almost anyone.
01:24Create yourself, your teammates, whomever you like.
01:27The possibilities are endless.
01:29Start with some presets, and then adjust all aspects of the player's appearance, build,
01:34and even things like tattoos or compression gear.
01:37Even set whether you like the player's socks up or down when they play.
01:42Once you've fine-tuned their appearance, you can assign player skills to make sure that
01:47on the field their strengths and weaknesses match.
01:53What's a player without a team?
01:54The Team Creator lets you build up your roster of players and use them in-game.
01:59Set up the team's identity, their name, emblem, and colours.
02:03Then you can explore the options in the Kit Editor.
02:07A number of templates are available to start, with different styles of shirt and a wide
02:11variety of patterns.
02:15Adjust the colours and more to make it your team style.
02:22Once you've finished, add players onto your roster, and then your team will be ready to
02:25take the field.
02:29We'll bring more features to the Rugby Academy in future updates.

02:36In EA3, you'll now be able to play along with the full 2024 MLR season, including a bespoke
02:43in-game HUD to bring you the essence of Major League Rugby.
02:49All 12 teams from the 2024 season are available, while in this initial update we have the first
02:54batch of stadiums from the competition.
02:57We'll have more of those in upcoming updates as we put the finishing touches on them.
03:04And finally, we can reveal our next steps, as we announce our plans for the next two
03:08major Early Access releases.
03:11Our top priority remains gameplay, so that forms the baseline of our update plans, while
03:17we'll also add further features to the Rugby Academy, additional playable leagues and more.
