00:10So eight fire engines were called to a home at Wheatley Drive in Longridge at around 10.31am
00:16yesterday morning after residents had reported hearing a loud bang which shook their houses.
00:24Sadly a man has been taken to hospital and remains critical after suffering serious burns
00:32in which a home has been destroyed.
00:35Two other people were injured but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
00:40The fire service and police are still working on the area this morning and have advised
00:45people to steer clear while they ascertain what was the cause of the suspected gas explosion
00:51and anyone with information should contact police immediately.
