00:00Were you one of the lucky few who were able to bag an Oasis ticket? Or did you find yourself
00:06waiting in a virtual queue for hours only to find that tickets had increased to eye-watering
00:10levels in that time? Well, government ministers are set to look into the use of so-called
00:15dynamic pricing amid an ongoing row about the quote, vastly inflated cost of tickets
00:21to see Oasis in 2025. Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said she wants to ensure tickets are
00:28sold at fair prices and consultation into ticket resale websites has already been announced
00:33by the government and is set to start in the autumn. The use of dynamic pricing was implemented
00:39on Ticketmaster, where the price of tickets rose in line with demand. But this has sparked
00:44criticism from many fans after some tickets rose to more than £350, even despite starting
00:50off at £135 on Saturday morning. Even so, dynamic pricing has been used for some time
00:57by ticket companies and is permitted under consumer protection laws.
