Application process open for 50 graduate and placement positions at Northern Ireland construction firm

Northern Ireland civil engineering and building contractor Farrans Construction has launched its application process for 50 graduate and placement positions

The high-demand positions on its industry leading graduate programme, Farrans Foundation, with intake dates in June and September 2025.

The positions will be based in England, Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Headquartered in Dunmurry, Farrans Foundation is an award-winning, two year graduate programme which provides applicants with the necessary experience and knowledge to fast track their career in construction, quantity surveying and civil engineering. With a blend of classroom-based learning and on-site experience, this is the starting point on the journey to becoming future industry leaders.

01:15We've set ourselves targets. Divert as much waste from landfill as possible.
01:19Consolidate our waste providers. Digitise a lot of what we're doing to reduce our carbon as well.
01:26There's such a wide variety within the industry.
01:28Renewables, highways, water infrastructure, planners, programmers, health and safety, engineering, project management.
01:35It's very clear from the start, you could talk to anyone.
01:38You weren't scared of going to people at the top for advice and help.
01:43It's so rewarding to know that you were a part of the team that delivered projects that have such a positive impact on the community.
01:48I've learned so much while I've been here.
01:51The thing that's going to change the construction industry is young people challenging what is there and bringing their new skill set.
01:58Gleaning as much as they can from people who have been there and got the T-shirt.
