‘Nessa’ spotted out in Barry as Gavin and Stacey filming draws closer

There’s only a few months left now until one of the most anticipated TV episodes in Welsh and British history hits our screens on Christmas Day. The newest and supposedly last Gavin and Stacey Christmas special is coming along quick, with filming beginning in Barry any time now.

00:14The show's creators Ruth Jones and James Corden, who play Nessa and Smithy, have both been
00:18on runs in the West End recently, but are now back in Barrie to begin filming at some
00:23point very soon.
00:25Ruth Jones was recently spotted in Barrie and snapped a shot with some volunteers from
00:29a local scout group.
00:31It's been five years since we last saw Barrie's finest on our screens in December 2019, when
00:36over 18 million people tuned in, just outside the top 10 ever for Christmas Day TV specials.
00:43Excitement for the show's return has been growing since it was announced earlier on
00:47this year, and with the script finished, filming seemingly just around the corner, and just
00:51a few months until it airs, fans will hope to find out what happens next, especially
00:56considering how the last episode finished.
