EU Commission Calls on Mongolia To Detain Putin

Russian leader Vladimir Putin's visit to Mongolia will mark his first visit to an International Criminal Court member country since the ICC issued a warrant for his arrest. The Hague expects Mongolia, a party to the Rome Statute since 2002, to help execute warrants. The ICC issued an arrest warrant for Putin in 2023 over the forced deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia as part of the ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
