00:00hour with me while we play some of my favorite clips on Music Max. I've chosen
00:05stuff that I really like and I hope that you'll like it too. It's eclectic but I
00:09believe it's good. The first one will be Toni Braxton, Breathe Again.
00:22That was Kate Bush and I love Babushka. That was really risque for its time if
00:26you think about it because she's almost, you know, butt naked but she's good. So
00:31this next thing is something I saw and I thought, gee, what an interesting
00:34combination and you can actually see the respect between the two artists. This is
00:38Tracy Chapman and B.B. King.
00:46This is one of my favorite clips. It's C&C Factory, Music Factory. The reason
00:53being I thought that the music that they were churning out at that point in time
00:56was really cool, really timely and the clips were just so clean and pristine,
01:01not to mention when you heard it at a club you wanted to move your booty on
01:06the dance floor. C&C Music Factory, I want to make you sweat.
01:13Hi, I'm back. This next clip is Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits. I was lucky
01:26enough to meet Mark in Sydney some years ago and he was a very nice man, very
01:31humble, which makes his talent even more astounding. Enjoy, this is Dire Straits.
01:39That was Don Henley, Boys of Summer. Great feel, great man, Eagles, anything he does
01:50I really like because it's very, very musical, great feel and this is, when I
01:55remember hearing this on the radio thinking, who's the piano player? This is
01:59Bruce Hornsby and The Range.
02:03So we've been mellow up until now, we're gonna really get funky and get down. This
02:10is, I think that they were pioneers in their own way with this kind of funky
02:14music and it had a great message. Whatever Salt-N-Pepa do and have done,
02:18they're the bomb. This is Salt-N-Pepa, Push It.
02:25Hang on, I've got the vapors. Sting. You know, I'm a great fan and whenever I can
02:38see Sting perform in Australia, I do and this song, I remember hearing the Arabic
02:46music that came through first and I thought it was actually a woman because
02:50the voice is so high and then I saw Sting perform this on the Grammys with
02:54the man that sings it. It's a great song and it's just great to hear two cultures
03:00merge like this in music and Desert Rose by Sting.
03:10Hi, this is Marsha Hines and I'm spending an hour with you on Music Max. We're
03:15almost finished but, you know, we're doing stuff here and there. Now, speaking of
03:19unusual, this is an unusual clip. This is an unusual band and I love them very,
03:25very much. This is U2. Enjoy.
03:33Yeah, this is Robbie Williams. Robbie Williams is a very different kind of
03:36person. I saw him in Sydney and I was most impressed. I think being a recording
03:41artist is one thing but when you can hold an audience in the palm of your
03:46hands as he did at the Entertainment Center, you're good. He was brilliant. This
03:50is Robbie Williams with Let Me Entertain You.
04:03Okay, so it looks like we've come just about to the end of the road. Was it good
04:08for you? Because it was good for me. This next song, when I first heard it, I
04:12thought, oh, what a lovely song and it happens to have won the Opera Song of
04:18the Year. This is a very talented Australian man by the name of Alex Lloyd
04:23with a great song called Amazing. See ya.
