00:00The Philippine Coast Guard has been accused of burning a boat in Navotas yesterday.
00:05The barge that hit the pier in Cavite was pulled.
00:08Watch Raffi Tima.
00:14Using two tugboats, the barge that sailed yesterday in Wauwados, Rosario, Cavite was successfully pulled.
00:19The front part of it hit the small pier owned by an oil company.
00:24The pipe where the fuel products are unloaded from the pier was not cut.
00:28But it needs to be put under an integrity test before it can be used again.
00:32It was closed when I opened it. Suddenly, it was open.
00:37The wind and rain were really strong at that time.
00:40In the initial investigation of the Philippine Coast Guard,
00:42the barge was able to lower the load of the windmills in the neighboring town of Tanza and temporarily anchored.
00:48But due to the strong wind and waves, the rope was cut and it was pulled towards Wauwados.
00:54It was good and the boat was not hit.
00:56The owner of the barge is now in trouble and promised to pay for the damage it caused.
01:01The barge in Rosario was one of the boats that were damaged in the middle of the storm in the Luzon.
01:06Earlier, the ASC Regime left in a hurry in the port of Navotas.
01:11At first, two tugboats were used to pull the barge but it was not able to do so.
01:15The rope was even cut.
01:17Then, three tugboats were used to pull the barge.
01:21It left around 9 a.m.
01:24Another barge that was damaged was also pulled first, the MTK RP23.
01:28The PCG is monitoring another barge that was damaged earlier in Tangos North in Navotas.
01:33The PCG is just waiting for the right time before they inspect it.
01:38However, in the burned MV Camila in Navotas, the authorities are investigating a fire.
01:44According to the PCG, there was a shipwreck in MV Camila before the fire.
01:48Around that time, around 7.30 p.m., there was an emergency.
01:52The area of the bridge was hit by the MV Camila.
01:56This was the reason why there was a fire in this area.
02:05There was an ignition and the fire started on board.
02:09The Office of Civil Defense received a 4-validation because of the storm.
02:14This came from Calabarzon, Western Visayas and Central Visayas.
02:19But this may change because we still have reports that can be received
02:24because the assessment is just starting to pass.
02:29Until this afternoon, more than 300,000 people were affected by the storm.
02:3460,000 people were in evacuation centers, according to the DSWD.
