00:00Breaking the terrible cycle.
00:03Day and night they never stopped singing.
00:05Holy, holy, holy is the Lord, the all-powerful God, who was and is and is coming.
00:12Revelation 4 verse 8.
00:15What is that one thing you did that you would take back a thousand times if you could?
00:19That bad habit you find hard to quit and you think you would die if anyone found out?
00:25That action you just keep returning to no matter how hard you try not to?
00:30Sin and its companion shame hold choking grips on all of us.
00:35We want to do what's right, but we keep messing up.
00:39And then we feel guilty.
00:41And then we do it all over again, like a terrible cycle.
00:45To go to God, the one the angels constantly say is, holy, holy, holy, just seems like
00:51it doesn't fit.
00:53When Jesus came to earth, he was fully God yet also a human being.
00:59People around him were drawn to his love and realized they should stop sinning.
01:03They were drawn to his holiness.
01:06When we admit our sins and let Jesus into our lives, he forgives us and makes us holy.
01:12Then he begins to work on our hearts, making us want to not sin anymore.
01:17He gives us the strength to resist.
01:20The only way to break from the terrible cycle you may be in is by clinging to Jesus.
01:25You may still have to face some consequences, but his forgiveness frees you from punishment
01:30as well as any guilt.
01:32You can find freedom and holiness in him.
01:36Inspiration If you don't delight in the fact that your
01:39father is holy, holy, holy, then you are spiritually dead.
01:44You may be in a church.
01:46You may go to a Christian school.
01:48But if there is no delight in your soul for the holiness of God, you don't know God.
