Taiwan is not the "only target" of Chinese "intimidation and coercion," says Raymond Greene, director of the American Institute in Taiwan and new de-facto US ambassador to the democratic island. Speaking in Taipei, Greene says the threat is "not only in the military sphere", but also includes "legal measures" and "cyber threats."

00:00Taiwan is not the only target for China to change its status quo through intimidation and coercion.
00:06So more and more countries are beginning to realize
00:11how important it is to work with the United States and other like-minded partners
00:15to jointly safeguard the international system based on rules.
00:21Such a system brings peace and prosperity to this region.
00:26The challenge that Taiwan faces from the People's Republic of China is not only in the military sphere,
00:31but we see it in other aspects, including through legal measures, through cyber threats, and other means.
00:38So building up Taiwan's whole society resilience, we see as directly contributing to cross-strait peace and stability.
