00:00Hi, my name's Mark Gilpin, I'm the Regeneration Specialist for Vivid. I'm here to bring forward
00:17the new site here at Titner. We're going to be building 835 new homes. It's probably going
00:22to take about five years to build. 35% of the homes will be for social housing and that's
00:28about 250 new homes. Building heights range from two up to ten storeys in height. We'll be providing
00:35new community facilities, new ecology areas and most importantly some flood protection.
00:44Hi, I'm Tristan Samuels, I'm the Director at Vivid Homes. We're here at the Victor Key site
00:48to talk a little bit about what we're getting on with and celebrate a bit of a milestone.
00:53We're about to start our sea defence work and our sea defences will continue what the council
00:57has done along Titner Lake. A slight difference in design, about a metre higher as well to protect
01:03the site due to the residential use over there. We've got the sheet piles just being delivered
01:08behind me now and we're looking forward to seeing the first of those going on just as soon as the
01:12MMO licence has been granted. This is a sheet pile design with a concrete capping beam and hopefully
01:19very soon you'll also see the coastal path open up again which will allow access all the way
01:23across the front of the site and continue what the council had installed previously.
01:28Thanks. I'm Steve Cripps, Managing Director of PMC Construction. We've been undertaking the
01:32remediation down at Titner East and I'll talk about this barge area and then for the designs.
01:40So this is an old barge, a rock around it to protect the barge and then it gets filled up
01:46with various different top soils and old meadow grasses to allow the birds to nestle down.
01:53That same zone goes right around to near the motorway bridge and then you'll see
01:59rocks dressed up, wild grasses in ecology zones formed.
