The incident occurred as Donald Trump prepares to launch his crypto policy platform. The hacked posts falsely endorsed the venture, sharing links to fraudulent websites. Eric Trump quickly responded, declaring the scam and stating that both accounts had been compromised. Although the posts were deleted, screenshots of the scam circulated.
