00:00What can I do to help?
00:04You get these hunches, you know, with these types of murders.
00:08Only sometimes.
00:09Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the nastiest, most callous sociopaths in television history.
00:15Warning, spoilers ahead.
00:17How do you feel about the violin?
00:22Sorry, what?
00:23I play the violin when I'm thinking. Sometimes I don't talk for days on end.
00:27Would that bother you? Potential flatmates should know the worst about each other.
00:31Number 10. Megan Parker, Drake & Josh
00:33I swear, I've never seen him before in my life.
00:36If you grew up watching Nickelodeon, first of all, are you okay?
00:39Second, you probably remember a very young Miranda Cosgrove appearing as Drake & Josh's little sister Megan.
00:44Megan's a typical younger sibling in that she loves torturing her older brothers, but she takes the torture part a little too far.
00:50Yo, Boo!
00:52Excuse me, Megan. I'm your teacher.
00:55Sir, Mr. Boo.
00:57Always eager to quote-unquote prank Drake & Josh, Megan's antics range from spiking their food with hot sauce to subjecting them to physical and psychological anguish.
01:05What's more, using her genius-level intelligence, she manages to keep their parents completely oblivious to her evil.
01:10As much as we hate Megan, her cruelty is often so over-the-top that it makes for solid comedy.
01:15Oh, I like that smile. That's a smile full of evil.
01:18Is there any other reason to smile?
01:20Number 9. Clay Morrow, Sons of Anarchy
01:22Bury him in the woods, mark the grave. Pick those up and gift wrap him.
01:29Portrayed by Hellboy himself, Ron Perlman, Morrow is the ruthless leader of the Sons of Anarchy motorcycle club.
01:35While the club operates on a foundation of loyalty and brotherhood, Clay is clearly only looking out for himself.
01:40He carelessly involves the group in dangerous situations in pursuit of power and money, and has no problem causing a little collateral damage along the way.
01:47Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, can save you. He can deliver you from all your transgressions.
01:52I appreciate your zeal, Padre, but my transgressions? All I got left.
01:58On top of that, Clay is revealed to have orchestrated the death of former leader John Teller, usurping his title and marrying his widow.
02:04Perlman has described the character as completely devoid of guilt, and this is clear in his performance.
02:09In his own twisted way, Clay appears to believe that all of his heinous actions are justified.
02:13You better be real careful how you navigate around this one.
02:16Or what? You gonna put a bullet in the back of my head, too?
02:20Number 8. Amah Crellin, Sharp Objects
02:22Please eat, Camille. We'll say our goodbyes in the morning.
02:27Come on, sweet. Come on, sweet. Come on. You're gonna have cake.
02:33This eight-part HBO thriller features a few soulless characters, and protagonist Camille is unfortunate enough to be related to them.
02:40The most disturbing example is Camille's teenage half-sister, Amah, who proves to be a monster hiding in plain sight.
02:45Unable to share her mother's attention with anyone, Amah maintains an innocent and childlike facade.
02:50Men get to be warrior poets. What woman is described that way?
02:55Not Adora. Prosecution says my mother is a warrior martyr.
02:59If she was guilty, they argued, it was only of a very female sort of rage.
03:04As the story progresses, we're led to believe that the sister's mother, Adora, is behind the killings of two girls in their Missouri town.
03:10But in a last-minute twist, the real murderer turns out to be none other than Amah.
03:14Could Amah's heartlessness be the result of a toxic mother and skewed family values?
03:18Maybe, but it's still hard to sympathize with this master charlatan in a young girl's body.
03:22Don't tell Mama.
03:24Number 7. Georgina Sparks, Gossip Girl
03:26You always did know how to leave him wanting more.
03:32Oh my God, Georgina.
03:34Despite only appearing recurrently throughout the show's run, Georgina is infamous for her ability to lie, scheme,
03:39and use the people around her without a trace of remorse.
03:41Among her crimes against the main characters are various instances of blackmail,
03:45outing her former friend Serena's brother, Eric, and falsely pinning her pregnancy on her ex, Dan, only to later abandon the baby.
03:52What are you doing here?
03:53I told you I was coming. Didn't you get my gifts?
03:56You're supposed to be in Switzerland, dating a prince.
04:00Luckily, Daddy didn't need the G5.
04:02Haven't you missed me?
04:03Georgina's most powerful quality is her tendency to snap back and forth between ally and arch-enemy.
04:07Many Gossip Girl fans describe her as a villain they love to hate,
04:10and even the actress Michelle Trachtenberg has referred to her as a character from hell.
04:14Feel free to tell us what you really think, Michelle.
04:17You're really going to hurt my feelings, and you know how I get when my feelings are hurt.
04:21Number 6. Villanelle, Killing Eve
04:24This way it will never dry up.
04:28You're in love with me, aren't you?
04:30Yes, and it even got into my nose.
04:33What a bastard.
04:35Villanelle is a pretty ideal name for someone who was born to kill,
04:38and that certainly applies to the antagonist of this British spy thriller series.
04:42A highly skilled assassin, Villanelle commits numerous brutal murders with unnerving enjoyment and creativity.
04:47Have you seen a child? David?
04:50Yes, I locked him in the bathroom.
04:53The character is notable for a distinct lack of empathy,
04:55which is evident not only as she does her job but also in her personal relationships.
04:59She seduces and discards people as it suits her.
05:01While we do get a glimpse into Villanelle's more human side via her romance with the titular character,
05:06she remains a killer at her core.
05:08Have you had the haircut?
05:10Yes.
05:12Number 5. Peter Littlefinger Baelish, Game of Thrones
05:15Boom. Everything, my dear. Everything there is.
05:19This wildly successful series definitely has its share of not-so-nice characters,
05:23such as the atrocious Ramsay Bolton.
05:25But what sets Baelish, a.k.a. Littlefinger, apart from the others is his snake-like insidiousness.
05:30He has an uncanny ability to appear trustworthy to other players in the Game of Thrones.
05:34My lord protector.
05:42The king has no true-born sons.
05:44But as the show progresses, it becomes apparent that none of these bonds are real.
05:47Rather, Baelish aims to use, betray, exploit, and even eliminate those around him without a second thought.
05:52His mask of friendliness and ruthless ambition qualify him as a quintessential sociopath.
05:57And let's not forget his super-creepy dynamic with Sansa Stark.
06:00Gross.
06:01Lady Brienne.
06:06When I heard you'd escaped Winterfell, I feared the worst.
06:11You have no idea how happy I am to see you unharmed.
06:16Unharmed.
06:17Number 4. Don Draper, Mad Men.
06:19All right, well, let's just say tomorrow a tobacco weevil comes and eats every last old gold on the planet.
06:26That's a sad story.
06:28It's a tragedy.
06:29Played by Jon Hamm, Don Draper is the anti-hero of the period drama, Mad Men.
06:33Don is a charming and charismatic womanizer who puts on the act of a dashing creative professional,
06:38but has actually lived a shady life of lies.
06:40In fact, he's revealed to have stolen another man's identity to escape his own past.
06:44So I'm just going to assume you've got something.
06:46Which means you should be worried.
06:48So you came here because you wanted to watch me get dressed?
06:51No, I wanted to make sure you were here.
06:53Thin body. Give me about a half hour for the rest of it.
06:56But his soullessness doesn't stop there.
06:58Don stomps his way through the professional world, regularly undermining his colleagues and manipulating everyone he comes across.
07:04He's also a notoriously unfaithful lover and husband.
07:07Don's emotional detachment and relentless pursuit of success, regardless of the consequences for others,
07:12make him a fascinating yet troubling protagonist.
07:14Let's not get emotional here. There's no reason we can't talk this out.
07:17Talk out what?
07:18This silly idea that people are going to come to some store they've never been to because it's more expensive?
07:23It works for Chanel.
07:24Mencken's is not Chanel.
07:26Number 3. Eric Cartman, South Park
07:28He is not smarter than me. He just charmed me, that's all.
07:30He's a charmer, that Scott Teneman, but I'll get him someday.
07:33Animated characters definitely don't get any more heartless than Eric Cartman.
07:36Though he's only in fourth grade, Cartman is the textbook definition of a narcissist.
07:40His transgressions throughout the series' run have included bigotry, racism, manipulation,
07:44and one particularly troubling incident in which he fed a kid his own parents.
07:48Sure is too bad about my grandma, though.
07:50Your grandma?
07:51Huh? Oh, it's not really your concern. It's just that, well, my grandma's in the hospital.
07:56She's very sick. Doctors say unless I can come up with $16 for her operation, they're going to put her down.
08:02Cartman has demonstrated that he will do anything at any cost to get what he wants.
08:06And since he's only around nine years old, who knows what he'll be like when he grows up.
08:09Maybe it's a good thing the South Park kids have been in elementary school since 1997.
08:13I guess we should taste each other's chili, huh?
08:15This chili looks pretty good. Here's mine.
08:19Mmm. I don't know, your chili is good, Cartman, but I think mine is better. Try it.
08:23Number two, Dexter Morgan. Dexter.
08:25Trust me, I definitely understand.
08:29See, I can't help myself either.
08:33Children, I could never do that. Not like you. Never.
08:37The titular character in this Showtime crime drama is an interesting example of a sociopath.
08:41On the one hand, Dexter displays a lack of humanity in his double life as a serial killer.
08:45What can I do to help?
08:49You get these hunches, you know, with these types of murders.
08:53Only sometimes.
08:55He meticulously and methodically plans the execution of murders, such as the chilling takedown of the Trinity Killer.
09:01In addition, he manipulates his sister Debra and his girlfriend Rita, hiding his true nature from them.
09:06But it should also be noted that Dexter channels his urges into vigilante justice, targeting other murderers who have evaded the law.
09:12He's a multi-layered character who compartmentalizes his own personality, referring to the bloodthirsty part of himself as the Dark Passenger.
09:19The killer is an artist.
09:23What do you mean?
09:27His technique...
09:31is incredible.

09:49Number 1. Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock
09:51You're wearing lipstick. You weren't wearing lipstick before.
09:54I, uh... I refreshed it a bit.
09:59Sorry, you were saying?
10:00We know what you're thinking. How does Sherlock Holmes, portrayed here by Benedict Cumberbatch, qualify as a sociopath?
10:05Don't take our word for it. He describes himself as such, albeit a high-functioning one.
10:09Cumberbatch's Holmes exhibits sociopathic tendencies through his cold, calculating nature.
10:14Mike, can I borrow your phone? There's no signal on mine.
10:17What's wrong with the landline?
10:18I prefer to text.
10:20Sorry, it's in my coat.
10:22Sherlock often disregards social norms and emotions in order to get to the bottom of his cases.
10:27He views others not so much as people, but as pieces in a living puzzle to be solved.
10:31Perhaps it's this very absence of humanity that enables Cumberbatch as Sherlock
10:35to single-mindedly pursue intellectual satisfaction and display unparalleled brilliance in every episode.
10:41How do you feel about the violin?
10:47Sorry, what?
10:48I play the violin when I'm thinking. Sometimes I don't talk for days on end.
10:52Would that bother you? Potential flatmates should know the worst about each other.
10:55Do you agree with our list? Let's talk about it in the comments.
10:58Let me tell you something. I have a semester and a half of college, so I understand Freud.
11:03I understand therapy as a concept. But in my world, it does not go down.
