00:00Ever wonder what's it like to be a hacker? What does it actually look like when we hack? How do we make our viruses?

00:06How do we hack in general find out on life of a real-life elite hacker?

00:11So let's talk about the flipper zero and how the Australian government is trying to ban it

00:19Mainly because this is being used as a way to hijack cars

00:24So this is the one thing that irritates me about a lot of politicians

00:31They don't understand what they're talking about when it comes to technology

00:37Honestly, they have no idea what they're talking about

00:41They're trying to ban this because of popularity

00:46They're trying to ban this because of how popular it is and how annoying it is

00:51Messing with cameras and such like that

00:53But they don't want to say that they want to try to give you a bigger reason as close to home

01:00Because if you're saying that this thing is messing with businesses, no one's gonna care

01:04But if you start to say this thing can mess with your car, that's a different story

01:09The flipper zero can capture car frequencies

01:14It definitely is possible

01:17Here's an example

01:21So you can capture frequencies

01:23But as you see you have to be right up on the key fob to actually capture it. See it's a myth, isn't it?

01:31Now that we finish with that example, you have to understand the flipper zero

01:37Can capture the signal but because of brute forcing and randomization of the next signal

01:44That's needed is not going to work

01:50When your car sends out a signal from your remotes, right?

01:54It sends it out if that same signal is sent out again

01:59Sometimes it won't work

02:01it's very touch-and-go with this and

02:05In order for someone to capture that signal they have to be close up on you

02:11They have to actually have

02:14Your remote to open the car. They have to have that in order to capture it on here

02:20So someone already has remote to your car

02:23They can already get in there has nothing to do with the flipper zero in any stretch of the imagination

02:33After some cars have fail safes to where if the car is too far away from the key fob or the remote

02:41It will actually turn off. That's another thing

02:45Say that this is the number one way that people are getting their car stolen and there's a reason why you know

02:53People actually need to get this ban is completely ridiculous in every sense of the imagination

03:01So there's actually something going on where people are standing outside of other people's homes with a giant ass antenna and

03:09taking their cars

03:11That's a lot worse because they can go after your driveway and do that

03:15No, do it at 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8, you know clock in the morning

03:19So that's do a sip back and watch your house. So when someone leaves they know we're coming back

03:25They kind of can get an idea of your work schedule

03:28Especially if you're gone for like 8 or 9 hours out of the day. That's your work schedule. So I can figure

03:33Okay, you're most likely gonna go to sleep at one if you have to wake up at like

03:397 8 o'clock you have kids you're going to have to wake up around 5 or something to get them ready

03:45So I have a good window about four hours. I can go up there and steal your car

03:50This is a type of relay attack

03:52I'm talking about as you see the cars are out here

03:55Now what they have in their hand is an antenna see your key fob

03:59Constantly sends out a signal and your car is constantly looking for a signal to will pick up so it can open

04:06This technique relies on that

04:09They will go right up to your house and try to get as close as they can to the front door because normally people keep

04:15Their keys on the front table

04:17So they can leave out is normally gonna be close to the front door. And as you can see is late at night

04:25They're so stupid like the criminals are not even paying attention that there's a camera up there

04:29But as you see they're moving all around the house in order to try to get this signal and they usually operate in

04:36multi-man teams

04:37Now, of course one of them might have a weapon on them

04:40Obviously because look what you're doing and boom you see they just got into this person's car

04:46That is more dangerous than the flipper zero

04:50Honestly, you can't come up with the flipper zero and do nothing like that

04:55That's a lot more dangerous than the flipper zero with the flipper zero, man

05:00You have to already have that key for people are doing this on their cars

05:05Not doing this on some random people cars

05:08I mean you have a Tesla on a charging door opener that doesn't work on every Tesla. I've tried

05:13It doesn't work on every Tesla. It really doesn't you have to key that to your specific Tesla most of the time and

05:22Please don't believe the hype on these videos where these people are going and messing with everybody's stuff

05:27They own this stuff is called capping for the audience

05:32It's called capping or they're just putting on a show but realistically speaking that that's their stuff

05:39People do that. It's all about the clout, right?

05:45They have no reason to actually ban this in any stretch of the imagination they have no reason at all

05:51They've been trying to ban a flipper zero

05:53Since it came out because everybody made it popular messing with stuff

05:58You had hackers saying that oh this could be the strongest thing out there as a hacker

06:03I could tell you there's no way this thing is the strongest thing out there. No way

06:07Honestly, you can get a computer and mess with a car a lot better than this thing

06:14You have the right software on a computer. You can bring it to a car. You don't need this

06:18People were doing this far before this thing came out

06:21See when this came out you all went bug-eyed crazy over the aspect of having a hacking tool in your hand

06:29honestly

06:30And let's be real here. This thing can't do anything with TCP and UDP

06:35And if you're a hacker, you know exactly sting can't brute-force directories on websites. This thing cannot

06:43Deauthenticate certain devices from the network and then when you reauthenticate them, it shows you the password this thing can't do that

06:52This thing really can't

06:55People overhype the fuck out of this I'm not gonna lie people overhype the fuck out of this

07:01When I first bought this thing, I bought this thing because I thought they were gonna ban it instantly

07:05So I bought it just to have it

07:07but the reason why they're banning this is purely because
