00:00It's August, it's 2024, and here in Plymouth Barbican is the song of the disappearing straitjacket
00:13in Mount Orton at Top Secret Magic, the world's smallest magic shop.
00:22Ladies and gentlemen, it's August 2024 and this is the incredible disappearing straitjacket
00:27in Mount Orton, in the heart of Jackville. Let's go!
00:40How did you do it? Can we just have a two-minute story? Your straitjacket disappeared.
00:44It did. I didn't do it. Someone else made it disappear.
00:49That's magic. And a friend of mine made it reappear.
00:52Ali, you've got international fame with it as well.
00:56Well, yes, I've always said if someone didn't nick it, we'd get some publicity out of it, which I did.
01:01But I also got it back. From the smallest magic shop in the world.
01:06Yes. Allegedly. Not allegedly, it is the smallest magic shop in the world.
01:13Probably the smallest shop in Britain, actually. Very small.
01:18Just like the straitjacket, very small now. And now it can go back where it belongs.
01:26Well, it will, but I can find something to put it on, because that bit didn't come out.
01:32You need a new mannequin, don't you? I do. I keep asking people if I can stand outside the shop all day,
01:37but no-one's taken me up on it.
01:40Did you hear about the £5 note that could fold itself up and unfold itself?
01:46No, I didn't hear about the £5 note that you just said the end of the joke to.
01:52I've rushed it through too much. Do you know a joke?
01:56Yes. You can make a £5 note worth more. You fold it up, and when you unfold it, you'll find it increases.
02:05Have you got another one there? No.
02:08Have you got a tenner? I've got a tenner, but you can't have it.
02:12I want to do a trick with it. Well, you can't.
02:15I can make it disappear. Oh, I'm sure you can, but I'd rather keep it for myself.
02:21Well, I'm glad you got your straight jacket back. I thank you.
02:24A game-minder would never have a straight jacket. It wouldn't make him straight.
02:32I'm making no comment. Many people pay good money.
02:39So, we're looking on the bright side now, and things are picking up, and we're going forward, so to speak.
02:44Oh, well.
02:51Are you looking for gifts from Plymouth Barnican? Welcome to the smallest magic shop in the world.
02:57And you can get them quite cheap. Fish magnets and things like that.
03:04Yeah, come tomorrow, and we won't be able to move when the new stock arrives.
03:09That's what the cow said in the farm. Come tomorrow, you won't be able to move.
03:14Oh, dear.
03:22Is that a new trick? Is this a new trick?
03:27It's a box, with which I have just put a silk handkerchief.
03:35And hopefully, if I close the box thisly and thusly, poke the ends in...
03:42Will it disappear?
03:44Well, you never know. See, the weirdest thing is, I went into a charity shop this morning...
03:52And as I clear off, charity begins at home.
03:55And... there you go. Just about all in.
04:01A charity is a nice thing, isn't she?
04:04Oh, yeah.
04:05Wow, and that's magic.
04:07Disappeareth.
04:08Thank you. Just like your strip jacket.
04:14And hopefully...
04:16Oh, you've given it away.
04:18It comes back again.
04:19That's magic. Yeah, it's just like your strip jacket.
04:22Yes, just like that.
04:25Thank you very much. Mull with a cold.
04:27Oh, yeah.
04:29Nothing to sniff at. Thank you.
04:31Nice to see you, to see you.
04:49Special thanks to the legend that is...
04:51Dimitri Cher, Mel Morgan.
